I purchased these Happy-House brand Thermometer Probe Covers for my Braun IRT6520CA ThermoScan 7 Ear Thermometer because the Braun Probe Covers are very expensive and these had good ratings so I decided to give them a try.â The current pricing for Braun : 40 covers for $11.00 (so = $0.28 / cover)â The current pricing for Happy-House (this exact product) : 200 covers for $21.88 (so = $ 0.11 / cover)The probe covers arrived in small boxes of 20 covers…so 10 boxes of 20 covers each. As you can see from my pictures, the Happy-House boxes look pretty much the same as the Braun ones. And the probe covers themselves are very very similar. Their texture / sturdiness is the same, their thickness feels the same, their size is pretty much the same. From a visual standpoint, I would not be able to tell them apart if the Braun name Brand wasn’t written on each of their cover.~~~~~~~~ Installation ~~~~~~~~When it comes to installing the probe covers, I do notice a difference with the Braun Brand in the simple fact that they softly ”click” once they are in place. The Happy-House ones do not provide this audible confirmation but if they are properly installed (pushed all the way down on the probe), they stay in place just fine. I have not had any issues with the covers popping off, and I have been using these regularly for our family of 6 during COVID.~~~~~~~~ My Results ~~~~~~~~Since I had Braun probe covers at home, I was able to easily test both brands side-by-side, when I needed to take our temperature. And no matter which cover I used, the reading was always the same and didn’t even vary from a Happy-House cover to a Braun cover. In my pictures and in my video, the Happy-House covers are on the left and the Braun covers are on the right. As you can even see from my video, both readings were exactly the same.At the end of the day, both the Braun and the Happy-House covers work very well and offer consistent results for my beloved Braun IRT6520CA ThermoScan 7 Ear Thermometer. I will be purchasing this brand again, as they are more affordable, and they perform well. Great purchase. The originals are expensive and seem difficult to find locally (maybe all sold out because of the virus?). Based on other reviews and some of the photos I was worried that these wouldn’t fit. I was also worried because the ends in some of the photos look really thin and flimsy. Probably like many others I never really took the originals out of the box so I didn’t realize their ends look pretty flimsy, too. Anyway, these seem to work great and the flimsy part stretches tight over the end of the thermometer and other than the box they came in, I couldn’t really tell a difference.
Ils fonctionnent très bien avec le Braun thermoscan 7. Et il y a de quoi faire avec 200 embouts 🙂
Perfectly fit for purpose
I had a small pack for my Braun ear thermometer. We use a sharpie to put out initials on them so everyone in the household gets their own. I just assumed you can use them until they look all cruddy. With a pack so huge as this for a great price, I just use them as disposables now. They fit the Braun perfectly. Not sure if they would fit other ear thermometers and I have only ever had a Braun. I know it is Braun branded, but I have a feeling they all use a similar size.
