Les caches-prises sont très subtils et plus esthétiques que les habituels. Par contre, ils ne tiennent pas en place. L’adhésif est faible et la surface doit être égale, ce qui n’est pas toujours le cas avec les cadres des prises de courant. Le cache-prise est aussi plus large que l’habituel “cercle” de la prise, ce qui empêche aussi de bien coller. Dommage ! Aussi, trop chers payés.
I loved the idea of this, but in practice it just didnât work. The adhesive is very weak, and there is only a small ring of it around the very perimeter of the outlet cover. Mine fell off just by plugging and unplugging a plug into it. They hardly stay on well enough to survive light use, let alone a baby or toddler messing with them. I think the description should also specify that they do NOT work AT ALL on the standard American electrical receptacles with two round-ish openings, since the receptacle surface is uneven and does not match the shape of the cover or the adhesive ring. The listing photo shows the product on the style of receptacle with a single rectangular opening, which has a nice flat surface, but it doesn’t make it clear that this is an absolute requirement.
This set comes with unique outlet covers that give you the freedom of using the socket whenever you want without actually removing the cover. It slides from side to slide for locking and unlocking the outlet. Itâs a good option for baby proofing with smaller babies who are just learning to walk or crawl and get into things, but it is not good for toddlers who understand that some thing is covering the outlet which can then peak curiosity and thereâs not enough strength on the tape to hold it in place if they pull it. The best way to apply it is to put the two proofing pieces together and then get a two or three prong plug to put it on to help you apply the product and line up perfectly. Thereâs plenty in the park to use up around the house outlets and includes a set for the long search protectors that Have lots of plug spots. Would recommend over the outlet protectors that have a push button to remove as my toddler managed to break all of those as well as any of these ones that I put in his room.
These outlet covers are a really cool concept. Rather than taking the outlet cover plug out whenever you need to use it, you just slide the lock open. It makes it so easy to not worry about extra pieces laying around. The design is subtle so that you don’t really notice there is an outlet cover there. I think it would be difficult for my baby to pull off for the most part, but I did find the adhesive to be a little bit weak which is why I am giving it 4 stars. Retrospectively I realized it might be good to wipe down your outlet first so that there is no dust preventing the adhesive from sticking, and that is why mine might not have stuck as well. I also didn’t read the recommendation to put the sticker on a plug and then plug in the plug to line up the holes. I was trying to line them up on my own and it was a total fail. Don’t be like me – follow the instructions and it is so much easier. Overall, these are a cool design and make for an effective, convenient and aesthetically appealing outlet cover.
