I wasn’t quite sure what this was supposed to do when I bought it. I did not know that the butterfly wings would flap. Man, that is so cheezy. But I love it!This is not a difficult build, but it could be challenging to someone new to these types of kits. It was extremely well done, though, which I wasn’t expecting for something that is essentially an “off-brand”. It took me about two days to assemble, but I stained it as I worked. A large amount of that time was waiting for the paint to try.This one was a lot of fun. I bought the cello as well and can’t wait to assemble it.

Fun little kit! It took fifteen minutes or so of TLC to fit the top of the piano on and having to stuff the driveshaft into the music box was tricky, but other than that it was clear sailing. I broke one piece but there was a spare, so I was good. An hour spent on stain and paint paid dividends, I think. I paid about twenty dollars on this and consider it an absolute bargain.
Looks nice when assembled. The issue that I was having is that the tolerances are to tight on most parts. The rear assembly from the music box to the butterfly gear and flower gear just jams because it just to tight. Instructions could use some work as in some areas were not really explained well. Trying to wax the moving parts was the worst thing I have seen.
