  1. Have patience great build looks fantastic

  2. This arrived in a big box, much bigger than I was expecting. Looking over the parts and instructions, it looks like a large and challenging build, but I anticipate a lot of fun in building it. I like the fact that you build the “bottle” it is displayed in, giving a whimsical touch. Also, I anticipate it will suffer less from having delicate or fragile parts fall off. It’s not cheap, but given the size and complexity, I think it’s reasonable, especially compared against name brand similar kits.EDIT: I’ve completed the piece, and there are several areas where the pieces fit together poorly or pop off easily. To put together the neck of the bottle, I used superglue on every piece. The shoulders of the bottle would not assemble without it. Be careful putting the wake of the ship into the bottle as the two halves don’t connect, and when putting on the ship, some of the “wave” pieces may pop off. Also, don’t put out the “ocean” pieces until your about ready to put on the top of the bottle despite what the instructions say. I poured some into the neck, some into the bottle in front of the ship, using a funnel to reach some areas. It turned out great.Despite those issues, it was a fun and very challenging build, and it looks good displayed.

  3. I’ve done other ships in a bottle from other companies, but this is by far the largest one I have put together. Being large, the ship has extra details to the deck and sides of the ship which make it more realistic. The build is divided into 4 numbered bags plus bags for the clear bottle pieces as well as a bag for the water pieces, making it easiee to build. I struggled getting the water pieces to settle throughout the bottle instead in one spot. I ended up tipping and shaking the bottle to get them situated. I also struggled getting the bottle to attach to the stand because it only attaches with 3 studs. The bottle comes off if bumped on if you attempt to pick it up by the bottle instead of the stand. Because that, I did remove one star. Other than that, this is a five star build that I thoroughly enjoyed.

  4. Half way through and super easy, fun build!

  5. I spent almost an entire day putting this together. The instructions were pretty clear throughout the entire book and very helpful. As always with these challenging sets you have to study the instructions to make sure you are accurate where you place certain pieces or a finished section — it is highly important. Also very helpful was that they had the bags numbered and they let you know which pages are for which bags. So you don’t open all bags at once and waste time hunting down pieces — this was very well organized.I did find that some sections were way too delicate and not very stable — the wave section was the worst for me. Then getting the waves set inside the bottle, with the ship — was incredibly delicate and frustrating. It broke so many times that I just had to eliminate a few waves from the bottom section. Also after trying to adhere the bottle to the base — it broke and I lost a bunch of blue water pieces. I gave up trying to adhere them together and now it is a view only piece on the shelf — no touch. This was a very complex set and for more skilled builders with some patience. But I will say that it is an absolute blast to do and something to be proud of at the end. It is actually quite spectacular when it is done — and a nice size as well.
