Served their purpose but room for improvement.
Ordered these straps to secure an electric fireplace and vertical china cabinet. I will start by saying that I think thst two straps on each pod these two pieces of furniture should keep them secured as long as I didnât miss the wall studs when I installed them.I didnât like the instructions as they were not clearly written and the photos only showed limited configurations. Of course the set I needed was not shown so I resorted to an online search. Unfortunately YouTube and Google were not muc help but photos on Amazon.ca did happen to show the set up I needed.Once I was clear in what needed to be done, the set up went quickly.One criticism I have is thst it was very difficult to separate the plastic clips. And yes, there are designed to be unclipped but it still took some effort. I was worried about breaking the plastic while in unclipping and reclipping but nothing broke despite my pulling and pushing.My next use may include securing a TV that is currently sitting on top of a flat top TV stand. It was interesting to note that bolts were included with the kit. I canât say if they would have fit my TV so others may be able to provide more information for this type of use.I would not hesitate to purchase this item again.
Tough to adjust and slide/loosen on their own
Theyâre okay. Not sure theyâre the safest on the market or that is genuinely trust them if my child wasnât always supervised in the rooms the TVs are in. Wouldnât use for anything other than a tv. The straps are hard to adjust to the right tightness/length and undone on their own at the slightest touch. Wouldnât trust these to hold heavy or tall furniture from tipping over. Theyâre on a 40 inch and 32 inch currently. When we upgrade to a larger tv we will not be trusting these to prevent injury.
