Perfect! I’ve put it on different bug bites (bed bug and mosquito) and it works very well. If I put it on a bite at night, the following morning it’s basically gone. For bigger and redder bug bites you may need to use for a few days for it to completely disappear, but generally speaking it gets rid of bites within a week (at least in my experience that’s how long it’s usually taken).

Bought a few of these after trying out 1. The wife and kids find it effective to stop or reduce itching. This works well compared to the local store bought stuff. So bought a few more as reserved.

It works fast to stop itching from mosquito bites and bee stings, and its compact size makes it easy to carry on hikes or camping trips. The applicator is simple to use, and a little goes a long way. I also appreciate that itâs not greasy, and absorbs into the skin without leaving a residue. While it works well, I wish the relief lasted a bit longer
Great Product
This has been the worst season ever for mosquitoes. I don’t like to douse myself in bugs pray if I am just going to be out for 10 minutes in the backyard. This was a big help.
Better than scratching my skin off
It’s not magic, but it helps, it stops you from scratching endlessly after a night out in nature. after a while the scratching comes back so you have to re-apply.It smells kinda strong but the smell dissipates after a few minutes.

I bought this to help with the itching because mosquitos seem to love me and my ankles. Instead of me scratching my feet off I was hoping this would prevent that but it didn’t work as well as I hoped unfortunately. It worked for some bites but didn’t seem to relieve the itching for very long.

After buying After Bite at the corner pharmacy, I realized it was not the same product we grew up with – roller ball with ammonia. THIS is the updated ammonia product I was looking for. I got it just in time too because my son received multiple stings after inadvertently driving our 4 wheeler over a nest of ground bees. Gave him 2 Benadryl plus applied this After Bite to his neck, back and ankle where he was stung. This definitely helped manage his pain. We applied this to spots on my niece’s dog who was also stung because he was chasing the 4 wheeler when this happened – at first he kept pawing at the whelps but after application he stopped and seemed more at ease. Very scary event, but so thankful we had this After Bite on hand!
Superb product, works better than any alternative we tried. Beware that you don’t use this in the dark. My husband got up in the night to make his way to where we store this, without turning on the light, he applied what he thought was afterbite–but in the darkness he’d picked up a highlighter, and wondered why his itches weren’t going away. In the morning we saw he’d “highlighted” each bug bite he had, and using the real stuff the itching stopped instantly. Recommend this product highly.
Love this stuff; used it since I was a kid. This is the gel version, which works about the same as the more liquid one (old kind) in a longer/round-ish tube. The gel doesn’t drip directly from the tube like the liquid one, and needs to be spread with finger (like Neosporin); both are great. Highly recommend. Reduces itchy sensation caused by mosquitos and ‘no-see-ums’. Primary ingredient is baking soda, but the gel or liquid After Bite is easier and faster to put on than making your own baking powder paste. The tubes fit great in a purse or even a wallet or pocket. I bring one with me when boating or camping. Instant relief from bites!
Not the panacea that other reviews have indicated but still a good and effective product. I’ve not found it to be a “one-application and the itch goes away” product as has been stated by other reviewers – after a few hours the itch returns and you have to reapply the product. It does alleviate itch for awhile, Note that I’m not treating mosquito bites here but am dealing with chiggers (red bugs) whose itch is pretty aggressive.. And probably the bite sites are where clothes rub, so there’s another factor involved. Another factor is I don’t apply the product for many hours after the bite, so the litter boogers have injected enzymes and that’s started dissolving my tissues by then and there’s a deeper level of aggravation at work. Still, After-Bite is the most effective anti-itch treatment I’ve used even if it does require re-application. Oh, and don’t apply it to broken skin — it stings quite a bit.
This product is hard to find in my area. I found it on Amazon thank goodness. My favorite fishing hole is hard to get to, lots of tall grass, weeds and brush to walk through, also lot of red bugs. I use a good spray before heading out but two or three of those pesky bugs (aka Chiggers) manage to get to me. I carry a tube of after bite in my tackle box, it a must have ! Thanks Amazon !!!
