Perfect
This works great if prepare stuff to be chopped. There are some good videos on YouTube so you get the most out of this. I have chopped onions, peppers and hard-boiled eggs with ease. Just wipe the top, and do not submerge in water: excellent value and brand in my experience. I did not try ice as it says on the box 🙂
A surprisingly handy little item
I bought this on a lark, but now I love this little helper. I used to spend ages shredding meat when I make dogfood, now it takes seconds. It’s a small container, so you can’t overfill it, but it works really great. I’ve also used it to crush a few ice cubes and chopped fresh spinach. My apartment’s kitchen is small, so this pocket-sized appliance is actually perfect for me.
Chope the fruits
It is great to work with to chop fruit and vegetable i used it to feed the baby. It made it very useful.
Quick and Simple
Makes short work of garlic and onions, variable chop size according to how many pulls of the cord you do. Chopping them is quick and doesn’t hurt the eyes. Has drastically cut down on prep time for meals, and allows my little daughter to get involved without having to involve knives.The unit has a nice silicone base for grip, and is very easy to clean with a bit of soap and a few more pulls of the cord before rinsing if you get it right away.The only downside is that if you get water in the mechanism, it takes a long time to dry out, but that’s easily manageable if you’re careful when cleaning. I don’t usually like kitchen ‘gadgets’ but this one is a staple tool in our kitchen now.
Worst.
The food gets caught in the blades, which means it becomes very difficult to pull and get it to work. I had a different brand previous to this that worked way better. I wish I hadn’t wasted my money giving this one a try.

Not as good as previous version
I have ben purchasing Starfrit choppers for the past 10 years. I owned two previous version, they normally give up after around 5 years which is good lifespan for the price.This new version does not live to the old version for sure. Not as sturdy (the blade does not stay stable inside the pot as the old one did). Also seen that the plastic (both transparent and whitish) get stained quickly with food colors.Sometime the “Don’t fix what is not broken” hold for kitchen product too!Still a good tool in the kitchen, just disappointed as I would have expected new version to improve.
Effortless and time saving
Blades are super sharp. There is a protector for the blades when you store it. The more you pull on the handle, the more your veggies are going to be cut smaller. You donât need to be strong to pull the handle. However, if you put to much veggies in the container, the first pull will be harder. So, first time i used it, I had to remove some of the onions I put in because it was too full. I had to do 2 batches. Product is easy to clean and is quite small so it doesnât take much space in the cabinet. I also did a big batch of spaghetti sauce and I saved 30 minutes on veggies cutting time because I use this product.
