Application
Coconut oil base will harden in colder temperatures; so warm the butter stick on the back of the hand before applying. In warmer temps, go easy on the twist-up, don’t twist it up too far! Product can be applied thickly to stay white on top of the skin, or rubbed into the skin to go on clear.Zinc will apply more smoothly on a well-hydrated surface, so if your skin tends to be on the drier side, moisturize beforehand.

I just got back from 8 straight days of being on a beach in Hawaii. I burn soooo easily I was worried the 50 spf would be too little. But, I donât want to use the harsh chemical sunscreens any longer. I was looking for a natural sunscreen that was also safe for the coral reefs. I liked that this one had lots of natural oils in it, so itâs good for me and the sea. In the heat it was quite soft and pretty easy to spread. Not only did the salt water not dry out my skin, but I came home with a lovely tan! I donât know why itâs called a âkidsâ sunscreen. It should be called âgreat for the whole familyâ sunscreen. My husband and I are close to 64 and we love it. I donât speak fluent sea cucumber, but Iâm pretty sure the one I saw while snorkeling said, âThanks for keeping me safe.â I highly recommend this sunscreen.
Thick and hard to spread but works.
I bought this product looking for a reef friendly option that works. It arrived quickly and as pictured. I have sensitive skin and this did not irritate. I used it while visiting Belize and it protected me well. Not one burn. The stick format allowed me to pass through customs with one less liquid to claim which mattered in a carry-on only situation. Aside from it working, being eco friendly, and easily stored, my only complaint is the thickness of the product when applied. Itâs a white cast and itâs difficult to rub in. Especially on legs and arms. It sits on top a bit and you can see it on your pores. I donât mind so much as a pale person, but anyone with more melanin is likely going to find this annoying and unattractive. I looked like a ghost. But I didnât burn! The sunscreen that is going to work best for you is going to be the one you use. This one might be more for the kids.

Wish they had other colours
This is a great product and really works. It doesnât run in salt water and I didnât burn. It is very white and you look a little a little pasty.
came broken with no lid!
the product came in broken & without a lid-the sunscreen was all over my other items in the box. how does that even happen???? beyond disappointing.
Leaves a white/pink cast
I bought this because of the ingredients but it still left a horrible cast. I didnât expect it to be clear but based off the description (says rub onto back of hand before applying to face) I thought Iâd be able to break it down before applying to my face but nope. The amount and hassle isnât worth it

Bought this sunscreen stick to transition away from a chemical sunscreen for my son. Read reviews (both Amazon and others) that rated this sunscreen highly for both its EWG safety rating and the fact that it didnât leave a white cast. Although the EWG rating is good (not perfect, but significantly better than the other sunscreen I have been using), this absolutely DOES leave a significant white cast. It glides on smoothly, but is also difficult to spread around, and is pretty greasy in the aftermath as well, which is another strike against it. Maybe if I had 20 minutes to rub it in, the white cast would be less noticeable and it would be less greasy, but on a three year old boy who wants nothing to do with sunscreen or standing still, thatâs impossible. Iâll continue to use it for now, but will definitely be looking elsewhere for a better product.
I really appreciate the good ingredients, but it is very thick and hard to blend in. When I wear it I feel pretty dorky, but at least I feel like I’m protected from the sun. Overall, it is okay. The spray sunscreen from this brand is easier to rub in.
I had to return both the product AND the REPLACEMENT. I asked for one that wouldnt expire so soon. And they sent me one with the same expiration date. So dissapointed. Its a good product otherwise. I hope to get a full refund 🙁
It is so hard to find a sunscreen with ingredients I am okay with putting on my kids. This is one of the only ones I could find and I am so thankful for it. It is a face stick but we used it for any parts of the body that were exposed and rubbed it in and it worked great. As long as you re apply (as with all sunscreens) you will be very happy with this product! We had no sun burn and were on the beach for hours, we also all have very pale skin that burns easily. There is no weird smell either which I appreciate. It does leave a white cast as first but it sinks in with a bit of time. This is the only sunscreen I will put on my kids and I wish more people knew about it!
There are two skin types: those that tan and those that freckle. My little boys and I freckle, but my youngest daughter tans. Today I put this sunscreen on myself and my little boys but my daughter wanted to try her luck with no protection. My sons and I are burn-free! My daughter got a little bit burned.Iâve tried so many sunscreens and would still burn. Iâve slathered my kids in so many different products and then apologized to them because the products didnât protect them and they still burned. Iâve tried mainstream and more natural sunscreens; Iâve called them in from swimming to reapply; Iâve done everything ârightâ and weâve still suffered. Iâve finally found something that keeps us safe from the sun!
