Q: Are these diapers one size and fit for new-born baby?
A: The diapers are all in one size, you could get different sizes by adjusting the snaps. If the babies’ weigh less than 12 pound, we suggest you use new-born diapers.
Q: How many covers and inserts would you recommend buying to start out with a newborn?
A: Between 20 and 24. Seems like a lot, but baby goes through at least 6 or 7 a day and you don’t want to wash them every single day.
Q: How to avoid mold problems?
A: We recommends bleaching once a month, try bleach, or sun drying, making sure they dry completely between uses.

An easy environmental alternative to plastic diapers
We wanted and environmental alternative to constantly having to toss diapers into the trash and found these diapers from Alvababy.The diapers are quite adjustable using the many different snap positions available though even though it states it’s good for newborns I would wait until at least 2-3 months to utilize (not just because of sizing but also due to the quantity/consistency of the “waste”)Cleaning is as easy as using a good detergent, ideally one with an active enzyme in it to break down organics and drying (ideally drying in the sun as it also prevents growth).Each diaper comes with two inserts so that you can change out while some are being washed but it’s best to purchase more inserts so that you have a good stack on hand without having to constantly run the laundry.
Not useful for under 3 months
My baby is 2 months old and the reason i purchased it was to give him little diaper free time.But its toooo big for him.It might be useful once it starts fitting him.Right now its og no use.
Super Cute Design
I just loved the adorable duck print on these Alvababy cloth diapers! The design of the diaper is pretty standard with how the snaps allow for the rise and waist size to be adjusted. I liked that this set came with two inserts, however they were thinner than the cloth inserts I have from another brand. What I like to do with cloth inserts (and this helps with absorbency too) is wrap the insert in a sheet of microfleece blanket that has been cut to fit the length of the insert and wrap around the sides. This makes poop cleanups easier because poop comes off microfleece better than the terrycloth-type fabric that inserts typically have. It’s also way easier to clean poop off a thin sheet of microfleece than a thick pad of cloth. I use a washboard to pre-wash poop off the diapers right after soiling before they go into the washing machine.
Didnât work for us
Bought this to use as a night time diaper for our potty trained toddler. Upon receiving it I was very satisfied with the look and feel of the diaper. Because of the various sizing buttons, it offers good value for your money! Maybe as a day time diaper the absorbency would be sufficient, but for us at night it leaked which was a bummer.
Amazing cloth diaper. Comfy on my baby.
I haven’t done the full switch to cloth diaper and it may be a little bit too late to do so since my baby is now a 16 month old walking toddler. However, the use of cloth diapers is such a great option if you have the time and patience to deal with the washing aspect of it. It will save your wallet AND baby’s bum. Plus they are super cute and come with so many different colours and designs.This is only a SINGLE cloth diaper, in the case that you just want to give it a test run or if you want to top up your already growing collection of cloth diapers.I like that it’s a one-size fits all, with many different buttons to adjust the size as your baby grows. My toddler fits into the outermost buttons at the moment. She’s 26 lbs, but has quite the belly and chubby thighs.They don’t leak, but I find them a tad bit bulkier than disposable diapers. However, they’re irresistibly adorable and my daughter appears to be comfortable as she goes on about her day, playing, climbing and running.I recommend it!
Cute and affordable cloth diapers
AlvaBaby does really nice affordable cloth diapers. I always like to encourage local but sometimes the budget wins and I find AlvaBaby to be a really affordable option with the same quality. TPU and suede are super comfortable and nice fabrics for cloth diapers. This pocket diaper has everything it needs to :- good quality elastic;- pocket to manage absorbency (comes with two liners but the pocket can hold one, two and I’ve tried three and it works) depending on the time of day and number of daily diaper changes;- multiples rows and columns of snaps to fit multiple milestones (10-35lbs).The designs are super cute too (this grey one is on the low key side but I have some more funky ones!).Bonus point: you can tumble dry them (on low temps) and it’s amazing (not all brands suggest it) because it saves soooo much time rather than having to air dry them.

M not satisfied woth the quality and fitting.
Not the best, but nice to look at
I found the elastics on the cloth diaper or not As tight as they should be and they seem to already be relaxed. I’m comparing them to diapers that I had in storage for 8 years from my last baby which were sun baby and kawaii. Their elastics are in much better in their used and aged condition than the one I received.For absorbency I’m not really sure how well they are. As it was only pooped in and each time it leaked out the legs, and yes I have the diaper on correctly
