Good humidifier!
Overall, pretty great humidifier, and does the job! Really easy to use, and the remote is nice to control it from bed. Easy to refill as you can leave the lid on and pour! I can’t say how accurate the humidity readings are on the device, however, it most definitely raised the humidity in my room a fair amount 🙂 The night mode, unfortunately, doesn’t completely turn the display off, and leaves a small glowing dot, which isn’t the end of the world, but is slightly annoying as I like complete darkness to sleep!I additionally do find it hard to see the water line on the device through the small strip, which makes it a bit difficult to know when it’s low and needs refilling.**One thing to note with these ultrasonic humidifiers is that they are not great with hard water. Using my tap water it mists the minerals into the air creating fog that ended up more irritating on my lungs. However, using distilled water was perfect.

Works As Expected
It works great and as expected. The display is out of place. It has a defect. But I don’t care all that much. The remote works great too. My sinuses and nasal passages feel better already. I love the capacity of water it takes. It pushes out a good amount of moisture and can be regulated manually or with the remote. The diffuser pad works better than I expected. Overall pleased despite the display defect. Not sending this one back. lol
Do Not Buy this Unit. Two months passed and it stopped working.
As soon as the return deadline expired, this unit stopped functioning properly. The RH% iwas stuck at 15 and whether it is raised to auto meaning 45% or higher, it constantly went back to 15% RH in which case the house became too dry. The recommended RH is between 30 and 50. Returning it or replacing it is a great hassle. I am constantly referred to contact manufacture which gives you a list of options to do yourself, none of it applies to this unit. In spite of my following the instructions anyway, nothing worked. Some suggestions are unplug and plug in another outlet. Disconnect breaker, empty water and refill and so on. Ridiculous suggestions to say the least. I am really disappointed with this purchase and the fact it is not backed up by options to return it or replace it for a longer period of time. Money went down the drain. Never again. Following the the above I got an email from ASAKUKI stating they would like to solve the problem. They complicated matters by asking for videos etc. The problem was explained fully to them with a picture of the humidifier. At any point a seller asks for videos etc. it simply means a hassle for the consumer to delay solving a problem. Not everyone is able to take a video and send it to them. I have been waiting for either a replacement or return the humidifier and so far no reponse from ASAKUKI. Mediocre Customer Service the reason for which a one star for the humidifier and their service. People who have given this humidifer higher stars are lucky that they fell on a humidifier that is not defective since mine is definitely defective.

Older model was better than this one. Plastic chimney already breaking on its own after 1 month.
Update:Asakuki customer followed up and was interested in seeing the issue. They also offered a refund which I wasn’t expecting. I appreciate the follow up and their customer service.——————–I previously had a Asakuki 4L humidifier (100-HM005) that was solid, easy to clean, simple, good mist output volume, but I damaged it by accident. It seems to be discontinued, so I decided to try Asakuki again and purchased this one to replace it. I wanted a top fill for easy cleaning and no need to flip a heavy 4L tank.To make a direct comparison, somehow they have made it less effective. The mist output is so much lower and the plastic chimney already has some sort of stress damage (not from handling). The plastic is too tight and the expansion/contraction has caused the plastic to crack and break. I want to ask for a replacement chimney, but I’m afraid they will just assume I broke it. It has only been a month of use.There’s almost no real difference between their 3 settings of low, med, hi. For my older model, a full 4L tank would run out in 8-10 hours or so. This 4L tank takes more than 24 hours. This would be usable in a small room only with the door closed, whereas the older model was more versatile. The specifications in the product description do mention the output rate, so it’s not misleading. I would still prefer higher output and the variable adjustment, because on the cold winter days the low output can’t keep up with the dry air.The touch control and interface beeps and is noisy. It would be nice if that was something that could be turned on/off. My old one had a simple dial for controlling the output. The little remote control is unnecessary. I might sound like a grumpy old senior, but these are realistic observations. Looking at their other models, the trend seems similar and I would prefer not to buy the similar designs.The design of the pipe is over complicated, in combination with the weak plastic. Perhaps the manufacturer used recycled plastics or weak composition/thickness. There are literally stress cracks and a piece broke off on the tube (again, not from rough handling!) at a critical part of the system. It seems the inner tube is pressing against the outer tube and causing the cracks.
