Premium price for specialty socks
I ordered these 0-12-month Christmas-themed socks to be prepared for our grandchild’s first Christmas this year.The socks are stretchy, and the inside feels like terry material. They have thick rubber grip dots to prevent slipping. The socks are wider at the calf of the leg but lack a leg cuff at the top to prevent the sock from slipping down the leg. The sock tapers down slightly from the calf to above the heel, where it again widens for the heel and foot.While I like the Christmas theme, I now wish I had picked the bear or doggie mix because we don’t know how well our grandchild will fit into these socks, and the Christmas theme will only be a short time this year and will have outgrown them for next year. In hindsight, I should have ordered a single pair of Christmas socks and a pack of ordinary socks.The reason for my four-star review is the price. While the theme and extra stitching should increase the price, I feel these types of socks should not be more than 4 dollars a pair. These pack of six pairs work out to $4.12 per pair.
