A Necessity For Teething Babies
This is the second “baby” popsicle mold set that my wife and I have ordered for our daughter. Having recently given birth to her third child, we know that it will be of great use to her in the coming months and years; her previous sets have had to be discarded due to the wear and tear they have suffered.These molds are great, they allow you to freeze breast milk, fruit purees, and juices in the small silicone tray. The resulting “ice cube” can then be popped out when needed and placed in the pacifier sac for the baby to suck or even chew on. Constructed of food grade silicone, the feeders are latex, lead, BPA, and phthalate free. When not filled with an icy treat, they make excellent teething rings, the contoured exterior providing comfortable, yet sensory stimulating surfaces for the baby to explore. The mold can make up tp four “popsicles” at one time; it is accompanied by a vented lid that prevents leaks, freezer odors, and ice crystals from forming on the popsicles. Unlike many similar sets, this one comes with three different sized feeding pacifiers to accommodate the baby’s developmental abilities. Because the holes of the pacifiers are so small, there is no danger of baby choking on any bits of food.Over the years we have found that the teether popsicles produced by sets such as these are perfect for providing relief to babies who are teething and for introducing new foods. Having previously had models made of plastic as well as ones made of silicone, my daughter has found that, while the plastic might last a bit longer, the silicone models such as this one, provided a softer surface for the baby to suck on and a more flexible handle that easily fits into baby’s hand. Like any popsicle, of course, there will be drips once the ice begins to melt, so a bit of a mess usually results. While babies may not be that easy to clean up, the teethers, being dishwasher safe, certainly are.This set is far more compact than most, it easily fits in the corner of a diaper bag making it easy to take with you when you are travelling.This handy little bunny themed popsicle teether is extraordinarily useful for providing soothing relief for teething and fevers, as well as providing a convenient vehicle for the introduction of new foods; not having to worry about baby choking is a real relief! The set makes a lovely, practical gift for new moms. I know that, at one point or another, all of our grandchildren have benefited from them. Highly recommended.
