I like this because it had a tablet that came with it so itâs an all-in-one kit. Thereâs no cell phone or other equipment required to view the camera with not even Internet Wi-Fi connection is needed to use this camera. The tablet has a rechargeable battery pre-installed but unfortunately the camera does not it requires being plugged into a USB-C power supply. If the camera had a battery, then it would be much more versatile to be able to use outside of the home as well as around the house. It does offer a good long signal range. Good video quality along with sound as well. I like that it has the crying detection and motion detection to alert you when the baby gets up. For this price point I donât think youâll find much of a better option for a baby cam than this one. Especially like that it functions without any Internet connection as this is much much more secure than one that operates over your Internet. The cameras that connects to the Internet, thereâs no telling who might be watching that youâre unaware of. That was a big big feature that I was looking for in a baby camera to be standalone and doesnât require any connection to the Internet. I would highly recommend this to any parent looking for a cheap baby cam that has all the features such as this one does.
I had a wireless webcam that operated over Wi-Fi for monitoring my baby, but I read in many places that Wi-Fi is not good for infants. So, I decided to get this device, which runs locally and doesnât require Wi-Fi. This camera and monitor combination is great. The monitor is large enough and runs smoothly. However, I found the monitor difficult to operate. When I zoom in, I still canât figure out how to zoom out; I always have to restart it to do so. I tried going through the manual, but it didnât help. The camera itself is of good quality, and the cry detection feature is excellentâit alerts me when the baby is crying. I also appreciate other fancy features like motion detection, virtual fence, movement tracking, and temperature alerts. Overall, I am happy with it.
This is not your old-school monitor by any means.No Wi-Fi is needed. You can set the “Perimeter Fence” for the area you want the baby to go. If the baby leaves this set section- you are alerted.- alerted very loudly, if you have your volume way up.- this could be a con for some.Not just split screen, but four ways. But, this means adding cameras- and I cannot find anywhere on Amazon where other cameras from this company are sold. So, the split screen does not really help- at least right now.Battery- runs low after a few hours.This is an okay monitor, but I will probably only be using the basics and since that is so, I would probably just purchase a run-of-the-mill baby monitor, for under this price.Worth testing out and if they had more cameras, it would be a great choice.
This baby monitor setup is great for in-home monitoring and simply works. Just plug in the camera then power on the monitor and it connects with no need for Wi-Fi, apps or subscriptions. Cry detection works well, though the alarm seems only play at fairly loud volume levels, but it can be turned off.Night vision on the camera is excellent. The example in my video shows the video feed in a completely dar room with no lights turned on, yet the image is nice and bright. The PTZ features and human tracking are great options to have, but I turned off the tracking after I dialed in the preferred angle. The camera also records video clips on the included MicroSD card, in case you need to look into any issues. The hand held monitor charges with USB-C and has pretty good battery life, lasting 10/12 hours on a single charge. The kit includes to USB charging cables and wall chargers for the camera an monitor. There is a wall mount (screw in) included but no clamp or bendy arm mount is included, though the camera does have a 1/4 camera mount hole on the bottom.The system works very well but I have a few minor complaints The cry detection works well but the alarm plays very loudly, even when I turn the volume down. It seems that alarm ignores the monitor’s set volume level. The system time format is 24 hour only, you cannot change it to 12 hour time. Finally, the range is advertised at 1200 ft range but I saw the video feed blink out once while I was only 50 feet away. It could’ve been a glitch or interference, but I suspect the 1200ft range is a little optimistic.Overall a great system and worth the price.
This monitor perfectly suits my needs. I have a 14 year-old son with severe autism, so I need to monitor him continuously. I specifically prefer non-Wifi monitors because they work better overall, and I don’t have to always be pulling up the app on my phone to monitor my son. I also love the larger screen. I don’t have the best vision so the large screen is a huge bonus. I use this monitor wherever needed â in his room, the main floor, even the backyard. His bedroom is on the upper floor. When I have the monitor in my room on the main floor, the signal works perfectly. Our home is over 4,000 square feet, so I need the monitor to work at long ranges. I use it in the backyard so I can be inside and still monitor him, and it works perfectly outside as well. The night vision is clear so there is no problem with visual clarity when the room is dark.The zoom-in feature is a must. The pan and tilt adjustment are also necessary for my needs because my son is constantly running around. This way, I can move the camera around in order to spot him (or move along with him). The monitor is very easy to navigate (i.e. volume, brightness, sleep timer, movement of camera, microphone use). It has a convenient kickstand, and the charge holds well. I often carry the monitor around attached to a battery pack because of how much I use it. This is very reasonably priced, especially compared to similar models. I definitely plan on purchasing more in the future. I previously used a different brand but I will be sticking with Vizolink from this point forward. Awesome monitor all around!
