I have a gas fireplace in my house with a single step up to it. The step is made of stone tiles and has a perfect 90 degree corner. My dog slides on the hardwood floors chasing whatever she is chasing and continually slides towards the fireplace. We bought this and it is no longer a problem. The sticky side is very sticky and has stayed on without a hitch for over a year. It’s soft to the touch and doesn’t look out of place at all. The stone is black the pad is black. A must for me. I suppose it would protect children too.

This was a bit wider than anticipated BUT thankfully the protector can be cut down to size. The protector is super flexible and is pretty obvious to use. There are 7 “bumps” going across the protector and you can use the indentation to cut the protector to size. I tried simply ripping a “bump” away from the rest of the protector and it did not separate well or cleanly, so definitely plan on cutting with scissors or utility knife.The protector itself does its job as expected. It’s maybe about 1/4-inch think and foam. It can be applies flat or to corners with ease.The tape also holds well but thankfully did not pull off any paint with in after leaving it on a painted corner overnight.
It has good quality 3m adhesive. Itâs easy to form around sharp corners. Super soft and protective.
