Description

This little house is filled with big discoveries. The Shape Sorter House from Battat is a take-along shape sorting playset that comes with 12 different shapes, a set of 6 keys and many shape and color sorting features. Shapes are easy to grab and fit and slide perfectly through a hole of the same shape somewhere around the house. Will it be on top or through a little window on the side? This is a case for your toddler to solve. Match the different shapes and see where they fit. Grab the keys, find the right one and unlock the door to see where all those shaped blocks went! Store everything directly inside the house at the hand of the day. Going somewhere? Grab the handle and it’s ready to go! Watch your little one find the right door for the Kitty block, the right one for the key-shaped one, then see the big smile when he finds the right key to open the door, grab the blocks and start all over again. Build strong motor skills, and spend hours of imaginative play with this shape sorting house from Battat.
Sort & Drop: 12 colorful shapes to sort and fit into the house – a classic of educational play!
Unlock & Restart: 6 color-coded keys let toddlers learn their way toward playing again!
Sensory Toy: Varied textures and colors for tiny hands and curious minds to explore.
Developmental Benefits: Improves pattern recognition and fine motor skills.
Recommended Age: Suggested for kids 2 years and up.

  1. Battat shape sorter house
This is probably my daughter’s favorite Christmas gift as she goes for it as soon as she wakes up. I really love this toy it is so perfect for learning & the main reason I bought it is because I seen a review by a speech therapist that really recommended this toy for so many reasons. It has my daughter saying keys, colors & shapes. Great for hand & eye coordination & fine motor skills. One of the best learning toys I have ever purchased. Highly recommend!

  2. Fun, holds attention, definitely a challenge for longer ones!
Got this for my daughter for her 2nd birthday. Well made, bright and colourful. She loved trying all the keys. Although challenging, she loves it! It holds her attention and she is learning new skills. Great value! Older nieces also love playing with this as well. It has evolved into a regular play item.

  3. Challenging fun for 3 year olds.
This is very large. Sturdy.I bought this with a 27 month old in mind. She has good fine motor skills but cannot manage to get the keys in the holes, and keep them in while turning the right way. It is tricky. The locks only take a 1/4 turn. So it is an unsatisfying turn that is hard to “feel” for a young child and doesn’t “click ” into open or closed position. The keys go in so shallowly that they can only stay in if the child can apply continuous pressure at the correct angle to keep it pushed in while turning. The baby carriage is barely recognizable to a child who cannot yet guess approximated images. But I like that it has different shapes than the other sorters I have.As a preschool teacher, when looking at it online, it looked like something only a toddler would be interested in. But now that I have it, it would definitely be challenging and interesting in a 3 year old preschool classroom. To extend it you could have those little, coloured, wooden waldorf dolls to “live” in each section.I think many children over 32 months old could learn to use this on their own.Tip: The keys are on a permanently closed hard plastic ring. This makes it awkward and bulky for the kids small hands. I broke it open and put the keys and the shapes in a basket beside the house.

  6. Best toy I purchased
I got this toy for my daughter when she was 21 months old. It was challenging for her in the first few months but it kept her busy. She is 27 months old but she still plays with this toy almost daily. I bought this for about $22 which was good price. Don’t know why it’s almost thrice the price now. . I would never pay $67. Anyways it was one of the best toys I bought for her as she loves playing with it and never got bored in 6 months.

  7. Great toy!
Love using this in speech therapy sessions. So many different ways to use it in a variety of lesson plans.

  8. Missing Piece, Do Not Recommend
I do like this brand of toys, they are made well, and are unique. I thought $20 for this shape sorter was great compared to what I could buy in a store, because I liked the additional feature of the key ring. There are 12 shapes, in 6 colours, and so each door opens up to two shapes in the same colour of the door.I am very annoyed that one yellow shape is missing, and instead I was given a yellow star in addition to the blue star. Maybe I wouldn’t be so annoyed if either Amazon customer service or Battat would get back to me. I emailed them both a week ago. Since this toy is missing a piece and there’s been no response to make it right, no I do not recommend this toy. Also, I can’t return it because it was a birthday gift and in the chaos of the party all the boxes were recycled.UPDATE: Battat got back to me, they told me just to return it. Then I asked if they could just send me the missing piece. I received it, but this was all such a hassle.

  9. Great with matching colors, shapes and keys are fun and engaging

  13. Très bon qualité
