Works really well
I wasnât expecting much but this thing works really well. We also donât use ultrasound gel and it works well without it. There are times when weâre moving the device and the sound distorts loudly but I think thatâs the difference the gel would make.
Battery not working
Works well. But battery wasnât working with it. We have to buy battery. So keep that in mind.
Received broken, doesnât turn on when battery is attached
Received the package, followed the instructions to remove the plastic on the battery and attach it, but the device still doesnât turn on.
It works awesome but you must use oil/lubricant!
The product is awesome. My husband and I made the mistake last night of not reading the instructions properly/not using oil/gel.Spent way too long trying to get it to work. This morning, we tried again with olive oil and it worked almost instantly!!! It is loud, clear, easy to use, and clearly a heartbeat! I would recommend this to any pregnant Mom, especially if sheâs anxious like me!!! Donât forget your oil/gel -made such a difference!
It works great!!
I tried it from 11 to 12 weeks it totally works !! It take sometime, and having a full bladder helps a ton !
Not suitable for thicker women
I am usually a size 16, similar shape to Ashley Graham. I donât really carry weight in my stomach, itâs more of my thighs, bum, etc. and I had a hard time listening to my babies heart rate with this at 22 weeks. I had to really shove it into my stomach which is not comfortable with it being so firm from pregnancy. I donât think itâs suitable for women with too much fat on their stomach areas. I also tried listening to my own heart & it was quiet. Pretty disappointed.
Nice to use to check-in with baby, but…
I bought this bblüv doppler for my wife and I to listen to our baby’s heart rate in the womb. With the COVID protocols in place, the clinic’s were not always allowing partners to accompany the mothers during ultrasound visits, so I thought this would also be a nice way for us to hear the heart beat at home together. The bblüv comes with a splitter that allows two sets of headphones or earbuds to be plugged together, so both parents can listen to the babies heart rate together. We didn’t use the splitter, we just shared a single set of earbuds. I do wish they this unit had a speaker on it, as more expensive dopplers seem to have. Having said that, we both like this bblüv doppler because it is compact and easy to transport in its included tote bag.Sometimes it is hard to find the heartbeat, and we used coconut oil as a lubricant, which worked well.I would recommend this doppler to parents who want to listen to their baby’s heart rate. It worked well for us, and we started listening from a fetal age of 16-17 weeks until present (37 weeks). After our baby is born, we will probably give this away to friends or family, as we don’t plan on having more children. The unit is of good quality, and I imagine it will continue to be of use for years to come.
Worked at 11 weeks
I bought this because I got hooked after hearing my babyâs heartbeat in my doctorâs office earlier this week. I figured I probably would be able to use this doppler successfully for at least another month, but I found it right away! I used some belly oil (I donât recommend trying on dry skin) and used firm pressure around my pelvis (center left). It only took a couple of minutes before I heard my babyâs rapid little heartbeat. While the doppler was very easy to use and set up, I havenât been able to record because the usb:line in connector is ancient. Otherwise, totally worth the $39 I paid for it.
