As a person who has decided to grow a beard over this new normal, the beard was getting super messy.I would reccomend this kit to beginners, i’ve had this kit for months and quite like it.Oil Smell: Non-scented, just smells pike oilBeard Shampoo: Smells very nice, strangly smells like water. Refreshing. Don’t ask me what water smells like.Beard Paste: Un-scented? It just smells like wax to me.Beard Aligner: Perfect, curve, straight edge, plastic and very nice.Beard Brush: Nice hair like bristles. Wood outside. Very sturdy.Beard Comb: Wooden bristles, good for getting clumps of beard hair unstuckI was worried that the quality of the stickers would be a cheap paper quality, but im very happy to report that they do not wash off or fade with water.The only downside i see if that the case it all comes in is paper, but i understand due to the starter kit nature and price lf the box. Would be nice to keep everything in one box.Overall, while you don’t get much with the kit, it should be enough for a couple of months and get comferable with maintaining your beard.

I debated giving this 2 or 3 stars & went with 3 & here’s why. I was looking to buy a boar bristle brush for my beard, these cost between ~$20-$30. I saw this set came with the brush & figured why not go for it… Let’s get something straight. If you really care about using premium quality & ingredients for your day-to-day self care routine, I do not recommend this set. Although all the ingredients are listed as premium, I’m highly skeptical. The biggest issue I have with this set is the oil. Here’s a quick summary in ranking order (worst to best).1. Beard Oil – The oil is garbage, I’m sorry but it is. It has an extremely fishy scent to it. I’m not joking. I take fish oils as part of my diet, and when I used this oil in my beard it had a strong scent of FISH OIL. It even feels like it.. I don’t know, but honestly, I don’t feel very good using this in my beard. I’ll likely be throwing it away as none of my friends or family would want to use it for the same reasons I listed.2. Beard Butter – Haven’t used it, but it seems to just be your average beard butter, no fishy scent, in fact it has 0 scent.3. Beard Wash – I’m actually enjoying this stuff, it lathers up really nice in the shower and seems to get rid of most residues. It doesn’t have much of a scent and it gets the job done.4. Scissors – Average pair of pocket scissors, there not overly sharp but not dull either. Good to have.5. Beard Lineup Tool – This is a pretty cool item, helps keep your lines straight, or curved. I probably would only ever use this if I was keeping a short stubble & need a guide to line things up.6. Wooden Beard Comb – Decent little comb, it’s OK, I honestly will never use it.7. Boar Bristle Beard Brush – This was the whole reason I bought the kit. The brush is perfect. It is wooden, has medium/hard coarse hairs so it’s not too soft. Perfect size for carrying around. I will admit, the brush had a really disgusting scent to it when it came out of the box. I washed it with soap & water, and then used some essential oils to mask the scent. Much better now.Overall 3/5 stars. This is a decent gift for a guy who is literally just starting to grow out a beard, but I wouldn’t recommend this set to someone who already has a decent sized beard. Pay the extra for premium products, remember you’re putting this stuff on your face so not sure how you feel using ‘Made In China’ beauty products.

Had everything inside listed. My skin can be pretty sensitive but I’ve used it for a week now with no issues. The beard oil could have a nicer smell.
