The product title is misleading, there is nothing in the design that stops the flow of liquids. It is basically a locking cover and a cork or other stopper is required beneath it to stop the bottle from leaking. That said, it is a good way to secure a bottle so it cannot be opened without knowing the 3 digit lock code. If you have anyone – child, roomate, etc. – who you don’t want getting into a bottle, this is a good tool to lock them out. The code comes set at 000 and can easily be re-set to whatever you want. For what it does, a very good product.
These bottle locks are a great idea, if you only have bottles with a very small top. They worked only for a few wine bottles, for wider mouthed bottles they don’t work.
I really disliked the fact that they were too small for my wine and liquor bottles.
