Our Company History

In 1928, at the age of twenty-two, Peter Beilenson began printing books on a small press in the basement of his parents’ home in Larchmont, New York. Peter and later, his wife, Edna sought to create fine books that sold at prices even a pauper could afford.

Today, still family owned and operated, Peter Pauper Press continues to honor our founders’ legacy and our customers’ expectations of beauty, quality, and value.

Reviews

  1. Best money spent
Best little book made for a baby and if you wanna keep their important medical appointments etc in one place. Needles, dentist, etc. It’s great I love mine.

  2. An absolute must have for every baby. (A great baby shower gift!)
Such a fabulous book. I have this for both of my babies after I found it so useful with the first child.Handy to have for recording vaccinations, also illnesses, and how the birth went.the dental chart is fun to record teeth coming in.One of the most handy, useful items I have, that my child will have for life likely, so for around $10 its an excellent and inexpensive shower gift.

  3. GET THIS, YOU WONT REGRET IT!!♡︎♥︎
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS BOOK it helps me organise all the appointments and health information on my son. FABULOUS for new moms and for keeping track of everything on your childs health from infancy to adulthood! Although i feel their could be more room for other specialists appointments and possibly more note slots about each appointment and maybe a place to write concerns. But other than that its AMAZING

  4. Exelente
    Súper recomendado 😊

  5. Super useful
It’s perfect to keep track of appointments, immunization and illnesses. Good quality paper snd pretty thick cover

  6. Four Stars
Great for organizing doctors appts, immunizations, weight and height measurements over time, etc.

  7. Great resource for health records
I used this same book with my previous three children. Originally purchased at Indigo and now that we’re expecting our fourth child, it made sense to be consistent with our health records. Price point matched and I’m very pleased with this purchase. Highly recommend it for those who like keeping accurate details of your child’s development.

  8. Bought as gift for new parents
This slim book will be handy, I hope, for the new parents to keep for a long time record of baby’s health records

  10. Given as a gift, not really used yet but sure it will be a good way to record baby’s health

  11. I noticed right away the elastic cord that wrapped around the front of the book and I liked that. That cord keeps the book nice and closed when not in use, good idea! The book is broken up into 9 categories: intro, family health history, notes from baby’s birth (like a parent would ever forget that :)), well child visits, sick child calls and visits, record of illnesses, allergies, accidents and chronic conditions, immunization records, child’s growth charts and finally dental records. The intro is just a half page with the rest of the page devoted to recording the child’s name and doctor’s information. The Family Health History page was disappointing as it only gives you half a page to record the mother’s portion of genetic/medical conditions and the other half of the page is left for the father’s information. I would think there should be at least a page for each parent. The Notes From Baby’s Birth was two pages in length with basically fill-in the blank information for parents. The Well Child Visits had intervals already sectioned off inside this book but if that didn’t work for you, you could cross those months and dates off and put in your own (beginning from 2-5 days all the way to 18 years old) – about 28 pages with date, doctor, age, weight, height, immunizations, tests, questions (concerns) and next appointment written on these pages. The Sick Child Calls and Visits (about 11 pages) were basically blank with fill-in the blank options with date, doctor, symptoms, diagnosis/treatment and follow-up (I liked this section as I reflected back on how many times I took my kids to the doctor and wished I had written down all this stuff so I could reflect back upon it so when it happened again, I would remember what happened and when it happened). I started to wonder if perhaps 11 pages were enough! These 11 pages had enough to do 22 visits as each page could do 2 visits, still I wondered….. The Record of Illnesses, Allergies , Accidents & Chronic Conditions were basically blank with just a heading at the top of both pages with date, age and description. The Immunization Record pages (3) had a listing of a lot immunizations where the adult would add the date given and a brief note beside it. Yes, for some of the immunizations that had multiple ones (like MMR there were listings (1) (2) so you could list each shot. The Growth Chart section has the actual growth charts for both boys and girls in length and height where you could mark the chart and a small section to write down the numbers (I feel there needed to be a bigger section to write down the numbers here- I know they are marked down back in the Well Chart Visits section but having larger section here would be easier – I don’t think you can get all the numbers on the chart). The Dental Records section was 4 blank pages will a heading that read date, reason for the visit, result of the visit, questions/concerns/instructions and the last page of the book has the primary tooth chart marking all the names of the teeth and their eruption date and shedding year. They also left blank beside this great chart to mark your own child’s losing of their own teeth.I really am impressed with this book and wished I had this book when my own children were growing up. I can’t tell you how many times I wondered when this happened or what happened when my child was doing that? Had I had this book and took the time just to write a quick note about a doctor’s appointment, I could have reflected back and remembered. What a great way to keep everything organized and up-to-date. The book is not a full-sized book but rather the size of a I-Pad tablet. The only issues that I can see, is that there are not enough pages in it for some information. There are 3 blank pages in the back of the book for notes that you could use if you need it or you could just add some blank pages inside the back cover as the elastic cord would keep everything together. These would make excellent baby presents or gifts for baby showers. I am glad that I bought two of these, one for my granddaughter and one for my future grandson. I will definitely be buying these again in the future!

  12. I simply love it. I made a record of all of my daughter’s visits to the doctor from her prescription book as her Doc’s handwriting is very bad and difficult to understand. In future, I can refer to this book for prescriptions as I have filled it up in my own handwriting. It has an excellent record of vaccinations too at the back. Very spacious book to write in.

  13. I bought one of these for my son 3 years ago and i loved it so much that i bought the exact same one for my daughter after i had her earlier this year. It has spots to track all of their shots, their weight and height, and to track all of their important milestones. The book is very easy to navigate and very easy to use. Would definitely recommend to any parent interested in keeping a detailed record of their children!
