Best invention of these ever
So far they’re good
Installed a couple so far.They seem firm enough to prevent the baby to open cabinet doors.They’re not that easy to open (which may be a good thing) but let’s see over the time how it behaves.Will update this review in the future to inform about the tape if it holds well over time.
Worked great for small toddler- 16 month old can open these now
I initially loved these locks. They kept my son out of the cupboards and were easy to open. Unfortunately after a few months a couple of these have broken on the most used cupboards- I had to replace them. My son is now 16 months and is also able to open them up on his own now. Iâm not sure if he just has great dexterity or if the locks just arenât child proof enough ð¤·ââï¸ I still like them to slow him down from opening cupboards but they no longer provide the child proofing I was hoping for.

I want to do a commercial for this company because of how great these little guys are! Even my husband can’t say enough about how easy they were to put on and are to use. The crazy part is that we’re not using them to keep little ones from getting into the cabinets, we were sick to death of our two cats getting in them. We’d hear bang, bang, bang when they were trying and when we didn’t, well they would have gotten hair on our towels, scratched and eaten parts of the toilet paper rolls and knocked over kitchen cleaners. I’m sure they’ll find something else to get into trouble for, but it won’t be getting into the cabinets.
Weâve had these since day one for our now 3-year-old. They work, the adhesive is great! But they do break, right at the plastic lock piece that gets clicked in and out. It keeps happening on the same cabinets, which are our most used cabinets. They will wear overtime with continued use. But we continue to purchase and replace them, as I like them much better than other options out on the market. Also, replacing them is very easy. Just remove the current broken unit with a butter knife. If some smudges stick to your surface get a cloth damp with warm-hot water and wipe, it comes right off. Allow to dry and apply new unit to complete the replacement. Done! I give them 4 stars only due to the fact that weâve had to replace these numerous times. But I will continue to purchase them if needed, so I guess that says a lot too. Iâd recommend, if you are okay knowing youâll need to have some on back up.
I initially bought three packages opened 1 and returned the other two. They felt flimsy and cheap and I didn’t really trust them to work. I opted for a more secure feeling lock. Now I’m re-buying these a few months later. Since cabinets don’t always stay closed or even and these allow for a little give when they don’t line up properly, the more expensive and more solid feeling locks have come unstuck. The adhesive on these is still sticking strong and they allow for the wiggle room when the cabinets don’t line up properly. Only real issue is I wish the packaging warned me to open the lock before placing it on the cabinet. It appears that the lock and the catch are connected in one spot and need to be “broken” before placed on the cabinet otherwise its a major pain for an adult to open the first time.
Waste of money if they were able to stick better the latch idea is great but they just don’t stick on any surface well.
