First, we created a super soft and cozy plush for your pet to cuddle up to. Our plush has no small plastic pieces so it is safe for your kitten. The Calmeroos plush has a pouch in the underside belly that holds the heart and heat pack. The plush is machine-washable on gentle cycle with heart and heat pack removed.
Heart with Soothing Heartbeat
The heart produces a comforting heartbeat that can be felt and heard for maximum soothing! It requires 2 AAA batteries which are included! The batteries will last 3 weeks with continuous use, and can be easily replaced as needed. Turn the heart on and off with a simple toggle switch on the back of the heart.
Long-Lasting Disposable Heat Packs
Calmeroos Kitty includes 2 long-lasting, disposable heat packs which provide comforting warmth when your sweet cat needs it most! Each heat pack lasts 36 hours! Use only one heat pack at a time inside the Calmeroos plush. Place heat pack inside the Calmeroos pouch along with the heart.

The Inspiration for Calmeroos
I’m Crystal, owner of Calmeroos and proud Canadian from Winnipeg, Manitoba! My whole life, I’ve had a fur baby (or 2 of 3!) by my side. From a young age, I felt a special connection to animals and a strong desire to protect and comfort them. The inspiration for Calmeroos was born out of a desire to comfort pets when they need it most. Since I can’t cuddle them all (as much as I’d like to!), creating a comforting companion especially for pets seemed like the next best thing. But that wasn’t enough. There are so many sweet pets who do not have a loving home to call their own. Calmeroos needed to give back to them in a meaningful way, too.
For every Calmeroos we sell, 2 pounds of food will be provided to pets in need.

What a fantastic product.
I am fostering kittens who came to me at 2 weeks old. I had them on a heating pad with a hot water bottle but the second I put this cat in, they curled up to it and finally looked relaxed. It is a great product and after 2 weeks the heartbeat is going strong and the hot packs are wonderful. I have replaced them every 3 days with hand warmer style packs which are easy to find. I love that the product is made in Canada, comes with batteries!!! and warmer packs. And it is washable, which is great with kittens who aren’t litter trained yet. Highly recommended.
Very calming for anxious dogs
We bought our first calmeroo for Mathilda our doodle as the breeder suggested it 4 years ago. She takes care of it like a baby. When we adopted Ruby she loved it so much we bought a 2nd but it wasn’t the same. We now have a 3rd that is exactly like the 1st. The heart beat really does calm her down when we crate her at night. Tilly our older dog will often take her baby and preen it and love on it.
The beating heart works
Loved the soothing beat the heart had and the Calmaroo puppy was perfect in size for the 12 week puppy. Only beef was she tore the opening where the heart goes and started eating all the stuffing which is all polyfibre. If i had not been there, i think the risk of consuming all that fibre would have been an expensive trip to vet so definitely do not leave dog alone – ie. night time or anytime if in kennel. Not safe. The heart works in anything so i just put it in a towel and she ended up laying on top of it so that worked out ok in the end.
Cute
Such a cute toy. I love that it matches my dog’s markings and is a Canadian company that donates to ensure dogs in shelters are fed. ðI do advise, for people looking for something to help adult dogs with anxiety, that you should not give this toy to your dog without supervision. They may open the toy up or try to “kill” the source of the heart beat , and could get injured doing so as it’s hard plastic, electronics, and a battery.My dog lost 6 of her 9 puppies before being rescued and has pretty severe separation anxiety. When I first put the heartbeat in the toy she just wanted to rip it out and I had to take the heart out and let her know she wasn’t allowed to destroy it. She learned pretty quickly that was a no and is very good with it now! ðIt does work for anxiety, too. When she was really scared of the New Year’s fireworks, I put the heartbeat in the toy and she curled up with it and fell asleep. It seems to have actually helped ease her stress .
Very useful for crate training!
I think this has really made crate training for my puppy successful! I use it every night since getting my puppy about a week ago, and he goes right to sleep with it. Now, if I put him in the crate during the day, I don’t turn it on, but it is still in there — and he relaxes right away, even if the heartbeat is not on. So all in all, it is not a crutch, but a good way to acclimate a new puppy to being alone for periods in a small crate. Very happy with this purchase – it is worth the money!
Comforting and cute
This Canadian made cute Calmeroos Puppy Heartbeat Toy has been a great asset for calming our sweet 8wk old puppy. The heartbeat pulses and subtly vibrates creating a soothing effect for our puppy especially important after having left her litter mates. This toy is well made and heartbeat pocket where the plastic heart is hidden, is Velcroâd securely. I put the Calmaroo in my puppyâs crate where I put her when sheâs sleepy or needing a time out. I would highly recommend this Canadian made Calmeroos Puppy Heartbeat Toy.
seams opened up on back after one day
I really liked the idea of the heat pack and the battery heart beat. ( not sure about battery only had 3 days and I shut it off during the day only on for over night time. The battery still works on the 3rd night.)I feel this did give my 9 week old puppy comfort from his first day away from Mom & litter mates.However after one day the back seam from the head to the tail was torn open. I immediately hand sewed the seam with fishing wire. Over the next 3 days the Bed Buddy has stayed intacked and my puppy definitely finds comfort from this adorable Bed Buddy. She takes it with her everywhere.
Cheaply made and not worth the cost
We bought this for our 8 week old border collie/blue heeler puppy.We had bought this to help ease the transition for our puppy leaving its mom and litter mates for the first time. We had gotten the mom’s/littermates scent on it and put the heart inside it. After a couple of hours, our puppy had gotten the velcro open and tossed the heart across the room. After that incident, we decided that we would not put the heart back inside (we also decided that it might not be safe to put the heating bag inside since the velcro could open so easily.). We decided to continue to allow our puppy to continue to have access to this product as it had his mom/littermates smell on it still and we were hopeful that the smells would be comforting.After 5 days the velcro was torn out. The seam along the tail is torn and the stuffing falling out.Luckily the heart and heating pad were not inside when this happened. If I had put the heating pad inside my puppy could have died as the heading pad is toxic for dogs (and cats).This product is not safe to leave alone with any animal, let alone at night (or anytime the puppy is trying to sleep)Not work the money. I wish I didn’t waste $50 purchasing this. Pretty disappointing 🙁
I love that this kitty can be washed and dried, and comes with the adorable heartbeat heart and heat pads. I actually got this for my son who was 2 at the time, and he still loves his kitty a year later. The heartbeat device sounds and feels very realistic, the size of kitty is perfect for a small child to hug or for newborn kittens to cuddle up with. The pocket is durable and you wonât have to worry about kittens or children opening it easily. Performance: it has lasted a year, many washings and drying, tons of hugs and it is still very much lovable (I donât see us replacing it even in a couple years).
it was very soft. I didnât end up using the heartbeat, but I actually put one of my old T-shirts on it and a blanket and the kitten loved it. Heâs only three weeks old. He is a foster kitten and I am a foster mom and this is a great tool for your kittens! you can even put a warming pad/insert inside instead of a heartbeat
I got this for my baby kitten when he had to be quarantined in a confined space and was really sick. We werenât able to hold himâ but he was only a few weeks old, and he desperately craved love and physical touchâ it was so painful not to be able to snuggle him or give him the comfort he needed, so I bought him this calmeroo. 𥹠Not only did it work, but he immediately calmed down, stopped crying, and started to actually sleep for the first time in a week. This little calmeroo became our kittenâs companion during such a rough time, where he almost didn’t make it. He snuggled up next to the calmeroo every time heâd go to sleep, and then, once he started feeling better, he even started to wrestle the calmeroo! When I find pictures, Iâll update my review with them. I firmly believe that this calmeroo cat helped heal my kitten, who is doing very well today. ðð» Best purchase ever. I would hands down, recommend. If youâre thinking of it, donât even hesitate purchasing.
My pup DOES fall asleep with him new friend and I do think it has a great affect on him, however Iâm not sure how much of that is due to it being a soft/snuggly toy vs. having the beating heart.He likes to bite/rip right at the spot where the heart is, but hasnât broken through it yet (had it 4 days). He also likes to rough house with it in the mornings, so itâs not JUST a sleep-time toy.Whatever the reason for him liking it though, it has made him more easy to get in his crate (heâll chase it in when I throw it) and heâs even stater bringing the toy in/out throughout the day for play and nap time. Heâs also sleeping better and better at night, not necessarily because of the toy, but this toy was the first step in getting him to feel less alone in the crate he sleeps in!
This was the first toy our 14 week puppy got when he moved in with us. He is now 17 months old. It is his favorite toy and has been his favorite always. I am amazed that it is still in one piece. He plays tug of war and fetch with it every day. He still sleeps with it every night. It is wonderful!
