Better than I expected!
Just got this baby camera and installed it in my van. I’m very pleased that the cord is long enough to be able to install it in the back row if needed, no problem.The camera is nice and small, and easily attaches to the headrest.As soon as I turned it on, I was surprised by how clear the picture quality is! The monitor size is perfect, too.So far I am enjoying using this much more than the old mirror I was using.Highly recommend!

Very easy to set up, with secure attachment equipment.I like the large screen. Crystal clear image during the day -very easy to see!However, I wish I could say the same for the night vision view. It’s grainy and not as clear as I would have liked.Long cords for easy placement, but it would have been nicer if it was wireless.The zoom function is good, along with the big red button for power on/off.Overall, a good value.

I bought this baby camera to replace my old convex mirror, after learning that those mirrors arenât the safest option in a car accident. This camera has been a game changer! Installation only took about 10 minutes, and I easily hid the cables under the floor matâeven though Iâm not particularly tech-savvy.Since the camera is hardwired, thereâs no lag or delay in the video feed, and the 12V power adapter has a built-in lighted switch, making it simple to turn on and off without unplugging. I leave mine connected and on all the time since my Jeepâs 12V outlet only powers up when the engine is running.The camera comes with a variety of rubber spacers, so it can fit different headrest posts. The slightly wide-angle view lets you view two kids at once if needed. Overall, this was a great purchase, and Iâm considering getting another for my other truck. Hope this review helps if you are contemplating on the purchase.
Easy installation
Extremely easy install and large sharp image
I really want to like this camera, especially for the price… but I think I’m going to have to return it for one simple reason: the “night vision” is a very sensitive camera, no IR illuminator. My vehicle interior is very dark, so can’t see baby without overhead lights. I’m going to experiment more tomorrow, but either mine is broken or the feature does not exist.On the positive: the headrest clamp mount works well and makes for a stealthy, classy, mount. Haven’t tried the included dash stand, but that’s due to not wanting to mar up the fake leather even with 3M VHB tape. The wiring is plenty long and only requires one 12V CLA socket, which I’m glad is in the console since the red power light is kinda bright.So only middle-of-road rating from me, but mostly due to my own situation… If no follow-on review it was because I couldn’t figure out if mine is defective or just doesn’t come with its own (invisible) light source. Hope this helps or someone can tell me the secret.Edit 2024-05-26:After excellent support from Luckview, I’ve added a star. The solution to camera in total darkness is to get the Luckview BM1. It has two internal IR illumination LEDs which provide perfect vision in total darkness. The BM2 is slightly more modern in its mounting, but the BM1 has better night vision. All other controls and screen options seem about the same, and both work well enough for me to recommend to friends and family.I hope this helps someone decide. This camera has a very clear picture and allows for a wide view of the backseat if you have multiple kids to monitor. The zoom feature works great to focus in on an infant in a car seat. I am very pleased with the quality of the unit and installation is quick and easy. Keep in mind the power switch is located on the 12 volt power plug so make sure your power outlet is easily accessible. The camera mount stays secure and their has been no issues with vibration or any movement that inhibits the picture quality. The entire unit seems to be of very good quality and should last a long time. The company stands behind their products so should you encounter any issues I am confident they will do their best to resolve it. This is a great option for anyone needing a camera system to monitor their kids in the back seat and with the quality of construction you can’t go wrong with this unit.
Ordered camera to view children in the back seat without having to turn completely around. This product is great.Camera Quality: during the day this camera has amazing picture. It is like looking in a mirrorNight Vision: Night vision is ok. The glares from lights are pretty large and the vision is pretty dark and can barely see the baby.Installation: extremely easy to install. Just clipped right onto the headrest with easy. The cords are really long, I was able to have it plugged into the front outlet of my truck and have the wires go under the floor mats and behind the seat to the rear head rest of a crew cab truck.Screen: the screen is big enough to see with ease but not too big to impede my view out of the front windshield. And sticks great to the dash.Overall product is great just doesnât have the best night vision, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.
The baby monitor is compact easy to setup. The clamp for the headrest is sturdy and it came with shim to make a tight fit in securing the camera.The monitor size for me is perfect, it’s not too big but sufficient to see the precious passenger.The camera provide wide coverage that in my car, a mid size sedan, it covers all the backseat.The camera is a bit sensitive to light that some time if the sun come from the side it glares but it’s not too bothering.Color rendering is accurate and make pleasant image to see.In the dark, image is grainy but the light sensitivity that I mentioned above help when night light fall on the passenger and the monitor shows the pretty face.The monitor has settings to adjust brightness, zoom, mirroring. It’s just missing the ability to flip the image upside down.The on-off switch on the cigarette plug is useful.Overall, solid purchase.
When my son was born we installed another brands car camera in our car that has excellent night vision however when we got a new second vehicle I went to reorder that other brands camera for our new second car and the cords on that camera just didnât work with our new vehicle so we opted to try this one (luckview) and while the cord situation fits our needs better, the actual camera itself unfortunately did not meet our expectations. I wanted to love this product since the daytime vision is great, but the night vision is really bad⦠I canât see my baby at night unless some outside light just so happens to hit his face which at night time defeats the whole point of having a camera⦠my son has suffered febrile seizures in the past so being able to keep an eye on him when Iâm driving at night is very important to me, so I have to no choice but to go with another brand who has better night vision unfortunately. I donât think itâs fair for them to advertise the colored night vision when in reality all youâre getting is an extremely grainy picture and cannot even see your child.
