Keeps our cat from detroying the Christmas Tree
I ordered this to keep our cat from being able to go near our Christmas tree when we are out, or for overnight. Prior years we put our cat in a room and shut the door when we needed to go out or for overnight during the holidays to not damage our tree. This is great as it allows our cat more freedom to the whole house while only keeping him shut out from our Christmas tree when we can’t watch him. This gate is perfect for what I was envisioning it being able to provide. It is sturdy, installs easily, and will pack away to store for next years holiday season. It is a little more money than what I was hoping to spend to take the stress out of living with pets during the holidays, but it will be worth every penny as we will use it for years to come. My full grown adult cat can not get through it, under it, or over it. Yes, I would recommend this to others.

Works for an awkward doorway !!
LOVE this gate im a bengal breeder in Ottawa Ontario Canada , this gate is wonderful for our cattery to keep the intact males in certain areas , strong, well made and the perfect solution to keep cats separated when need to 🙂 our instagram is : TopShelfBengals ! Great gate but …
We love this gate and don’t want to return it but it was missing one of the latch/locks. There seems to be no way to contact the seller to request the missing parts. The gate would work even better, and get 5 stars if we had both latches. I would edit this review to 5 stars if we received these missing pieces.
It works so far
Actually 3.5 stars. It does the job but the clasp set up maybe will have a short life as my cat charges the gate to try to get at another cat and that flexes the middle part where the clasp is. Not 100% sure this will hold up, so i will have to add a secondary safety cord, string, wire etc.
Easy to install and fits in the space perfectly
I put it at the bottom of my basement stairs to keep the cats out of the basement. The telescoping poles easily reached from floor to ceiling, I didnât end up needing the expansion pieces to make it wider. Bought a second one for my parents and their cats.
Underwhelming
My cats will break the latch in a short period of time due to the quality of plastic used. The gate itself is not poor quality however still manages to feel cheap. I do not recommend this product

Itâs been used to block our cat from the kitchen area, and itâs very successful! This gate is easy to assemble and easy to use , also in a very good quality!

I have been looking for months for a way to keep my cats out of my upstairs area and this works perfectly. I also like that it fastens with tension so no holes are drilled in my woodwork.The locks are pretty flimsy and I doubt this would work very well to keep dogs out as it is very lightweight, but that makes it easy to open and close and I like that.
Bought this because we liked the idea of the 2 swinging doors, and to keep the cats from sneaking out the dog door. The latches and the top and bottom of the frame are just plastic, and the bars are a very flimsy aluminum. Cat pushed right thru. Returning this for something sturdier.
We had a determined cat that could every once in a while get over the gate. In all his attempts I think he made it twice. If they are able to grab the top what stops them from making over is the lack of traction for their back legs. That being said, if he had just a tiny boost he could make it. So, if you get the gate, don’t leave anything too close to it for them to jump on.The reason we purchased the gate was because our boys had a falling out and needed to be separated for three months. It was DAUNTING. This gate helped tremendously, but if you need it for the same reason, a tip we have is to feed the cardboard from the packaging through the gates so they can’t see each other.Also, it’s very very important to point out that our boys could also get the bottom part of the gate spread enough for them to slip through. But one time our smaller cat tried it, he got stuck with the gate presssing on his neck. It was scary and I’m glad we were home. Luckily, this is very easy to combat. We got a Velcro strap and put it around the two slats of each gate door at the VERY BOTTOM. This prevented the gate doors from separating at all.Overall, the product does it’s job, but takes some feline AND human behavior modification. It’s easy to put up and doesn’t damage the ceiling.
We loved the design of the door with double door but the construction is not sturdy enough and the kitten can easily push through. Considering that we bought it to keep out the kitten from the basement and it is not doing the job, we would like to return it. Disappointed on the quality for such a price.
