Description

The Cosco Canteen high chair is the simplest, no fuss no muss, solution to feeding time. Super light and easy to clean, the Canteen is the perfect high chair for the grandparent’s home, at the cottage, or anywhere you’d need an extra high chair. The tray is removable and can be rinsed easily in the kitchen sink. There’s also a place on the back of the high chair to attach the tray when not in use, so your child can feel like a big kid and sit at the table with the rest of the family. The adjustable footrest helps provides support to your child’s feet as they grow. Finally, clean up time is super fast! The Canteen high chair is made from durable plastics, so a simple wipe with a damp cloth and you’re ready for the next meal!.
Maximum Weight recommendation : 8lbs to 33lbs

  1. Bought this for my parents’ place but then stole it back it for myself
What I love:It is SO EASY to clean (no weird crevices, the straps come out really easily, the tray isn’t too big to conveniently wash at the sink). This ease makes a huge difference to my quality of life since my son seems to eat like six meals a day at this point. My son has good posture in this chair. We had one of those fancy padded reclining seats before, but with the angle of the chair and its five point harness he was almost forced to lean back. In this chair he sits well and happily, and uses his arms more! The way the shoulder straps attach for this unit is much more convenient than my last high chair. My son uses it as a push toy since it is so light, and he LOVES it as a push toy.Downsides:The adjustable footrest is not super adjustable. My ten month old uses the top of the footrest support piece rather than the footrest itself, and when he was younger it wouldn’t have been ideal since his feet wouldn’t have reached. The tray is quite small, and the rounded shape means that most of our suction plates don’t quite have space to suction on well. This isn’t a huge issue for me but I recognize that for others it might be a dealbreaker. As another reviewer mentioned, you need to clean the tray before you take it off, else you will dump everything on the baby. The maximum weight is 33lbs. My son is almost 27lbs at 10.5 months so we won’t have a super long window to use it.So, these are my pros and cons. Even with these cons, I’m keeping this as our primary high chair until my son’s feet actually reach the footrest of a model that runs into higher weights.

  2. So easy to clean!
I was looking for a very basic, lightweight highchair and this one has been perfect! I wanted something that was super easy to clean and this one hasn’t disappointed. It’s very light and minimal. Haven’t had any issues at all and would recommend

  3. Does the trick
Basic high chair, no special features – will get the job done. Wish it had a softer seat/cushion that was detachable and washable. That said, the plastic is very easy to wipe clean. The snap on tray has a design flaw, it needs to be tilted up to unhook. So when you go to detach after the baby has eaten the food will roll down and fall off on to baby’s lap or the floor. It’s not too big so won’t take up a huge footprint, very light weight and easy to assemble (in 5 mins or less). Overall it’s good though, nothing fancy.

  4. Great light weight high chair
Easy to put together, affordable and sturdy. Very compact which is nice for small kitchens and is regular table heigh !

  5. Just what we needed
Been using it for a month, and is just right, easy to clean, and my daughter love it. The hight is just right to our dining table so we all can seat together. The only issue is that it doesn’t come with the rubber at the bottom of the legs so is too slippery for our floor.

  6. Cost Friendly Option
Listen, I don’t know why high chairs these days come with so many bits and bobbles, but this one is a simple, to the point chair that I can appreciate. There are a few design flaws- legs seem a tiny bit flimsy, and they are short, but the biggest issue I have is that the tray must be tipped up and TOWARDS THE CHILD to remove it. Someone didn’t consider how dirty said tray would be after an enthusiastic feed with a 7 month old thrower. It just seems silly to have to clean the tray off before you even remove it. Other brands I’ve used have clicked into place flatly (is that a word?!) so you don’t have this issue.

  7. Good highchairs
Work great. Easyish to clean, very stable. Kind of wish we had gotten the highchairs with the food catchers, as the floor underneath is a disaster after meals and snacks. But that is hardly the chairs fault. Good quality product.

  8. Unsafe. Beware
Very flimsy. Kid whipped his head back while laughing and the entire high chair toppled over. Luckily I was there to catch him.
