Reviews

  1. Useful product
We took our son’s carseat on our recent trip and don’t know how we could’ve transported it without this bag. The bag could be a bit sturdier and the zipper could be smoother but still a very good product.

  2. Travel bag for car seat
I had to travel overseas with my two little ones all alone, and I needed my car seat! This bag from diono, is amazing so sturdy and durable! Perfect for travel on airplane! It’s a little bit hard the first time that you need to use it put inside the car seat but after that it just comes very easy!Definitely it is something that you need to have if you are travel!

  3. Good enough as a covering and means to make transporting a car seat easier
We bought this strictly for the purpose of traveling with the carseat. The material is a bit thin, but the padded straps/backpack configuration made it much easier to lug the car seat around an airport. After 6 flights, I’ve noticed that the material does have some small “holes” (not so bad as to have torn the bag, but you can definitely see punctures) and scuff marks, but it hasn’t actually broken or deteriorated to the point that you can’t use it.There isn’t any padding in the bag, so it won’t protect from bumps of drops, but it protects against scratches, and the padded straps make carrying the seat much easier. The bag is large enough that I could fit a R120, with the rear-facing base, an angle adjuster, and a safety mat (for protecting the surface of the car’s rear seats).

  4. Perfect for in flight car seat use
Might not be super durable over time to check your car seat but we use it to carry the car seat in between flights since we use it on the plane for our daughter to sit in. My husband likes the backpack style for the straps. Diono car seats are well made and heavy so this carrying option makes it much more manageable.

  5. Fragile bag and poor design
Purchased this bag for our trip to San Francisco from Toronto. It was our first trip using the bag. Was just printing out our boarding passes and the bag slipped off the cart. The zipper pull snapped off and one of the strap clips bent out of shape, leaving it useless, and we were down one strap for the trip. Even before that, the strap was uncomfortable to use in “backpack mode”. You need to be careful how you attach the straps because it’s the difference between an uncomfortable bag and an unbearable one with the strap clips digging into the base of your neck. I can’t believe how Diono charges $50 for this bag. I love our Radian RXT car seats, but a summer student would have come up with a better design over a lunch break. Design is not even an afterthought on this product. Did no one at Diono try it before putting it on the market? Super disappointed in this purchase. I would have been better off using a plastic bag if I knew that it was going to be single-use.

  6. Worked as advertised
This was the one for our car seat and it fit perfectly. Took a bit of maneuvering to get it in, partly due to us figuring out how seat needed to fold, positioning etc.Didn’t want to risk an off brand one that might not fit as wouldn’t have had time to replace prior to travel.Only used on one flight so will see how it holds up over time.

  7. Defective clip
The bag itself seem good quality but one of the clips on one of the straps is defective and cannot open, therefore rendering the bag useless as I can’t use it as a backpack. I’ve reached out to the seller and the manufacturer and both are passing the responsibility on to the other.

  8. Another great diono product
fits well and a great way to protect the car seats while travelling. My cover did get some holes in it with use but I think that is more due to how rough the airlines are as opposed to the quality of the product as the cover feels thick and sturdy. There is also enough space to fit accessories such as a mirror to see your child which is handy. The pocket is also great for putting the additional tethers in so nothing gets lost

  9. This is definitely a must have. It’s a perfect for and also allows room for additional items to be carried as well. While it’s small enough to fold up and pack away it’s also large enough to accommodate extra necessities. Very durable and cleans easily. Great for storage as well when the car seat is not in use. Great value and offers simplicity with the backpack like straps for carrying.

  10. I know there are multiple reviews that say this case was destroyed after checking with an airline. I took the chance because I didn’t have a choice but to check our seat during our most recent trip. I used a small collapsible luggage cart to move the seat in this case, across the airport and then gate checked our seat for 2 different flights (picking it up in between.)At the end of our journey, the car seat case had a few scuffs but no tears or holes and it did an amazing job protecting our Radian RXT. I packed the folded luggage cart inside the cover before gate checking and it fit with plenty of room to spare for the rear-facing boot, coats, or whatever. We didn’t use the backpack straps because we were already carrying backpacks but the straps aren’t heavily padded. I could definitely see this being uncomfortable for long treks but for a quick move from one place to another, it’s fine.If it wasn’t clear (since mine came with zero instructions,) fold the seat bottom up into the back of the seat and affix the storage strap (red, between the harness straps, beneath the cover) to hold it in place. Then, slide the bottom of the seat into the bottom of the cover and pull the cover up around the back of the seat and around the sides, then zip it up. If you fold the seat bottom but don’t secure it with the strap, it will try to pop open as soon as you pick the whole thing up.

  11. Have bought this to pack the car seat in when not in grandparent duties. Idea.

  12. The bag ripped after checking it on 1 flight. There is 2 holes in the bag, I’m guessing from the conveyor belt used to load and unload the luggage. The holes seem to be possible from being left on the conveyor belt and rubbing, causing holes that look burnt through. This bag was WAY too expensive to for it to already be rendered unusable. My son’s Diono car seat is very compact and did not take up the whole space of the bag, but it fit well. I expected a better quality based off the price but I was left disappointed because I cannot use it again without damaging the car seat further. I love the features and quality of this bag compared to the cheaper options but I’m regretting spending so much. I would have returned if it was possible.

  13. This is amazing! I cheaped out on our first trip with our Diono and regretted it big time. The airline or TSA broke our seat in one of those cheap red nylon bags. One of the reasons I hadn’t purchased this bag was because of the reviews. Well for our next trip I decided I had to try this, not only for my son’s safety on our trip, but also because I just can’t deal with having to get yet another car seat. Most of the negative reviews are in regards to the back straps. Our bag had a single strap connector in the middle (pictured) and side connectors. Obviously the side connectors are pretty wide and I would only use them if I was attaching a single strap on one side (messenger bag style) to put it over one shoulder. The Rainier fit inside the bag PERFECTLY and because my son is still rear facing I was able to also fit the detachable rear facing base and the infant body support pillow in the bag. Due to the size I checked the car seat again, with much trepidation, however the car seat arrived in perfect condition at our destination AND at home. The bag held up very well to wear and tear with just a few minor scratches. This is expected as we all know how rough airlines are on checked baggage. I also don’t think it’s reasonable to mark down any stars based on weight as some other reviewers did. We all knew we were buying a heavy car seat when we bought it! Diono uses steel frames in their highly rated seats. I don’t care how heavy something is if it’s for my son’s safety. The bag itself is very light, no more than a couple of pounds.Overall, yet another quality product from Diono. I haven’t been disappointed with one thing I’ve purchased from them and their customer service is fantastic. As a native Washingtonian, thank you Diono!!
