Amazing
Very happy with this camera so far. I picked this one because of its compatibility with Apple Home.Setup was a bit tricky at first. It was very easy to set up and pair to the Eufy app, but I had a real hard time getting it set up with the Apple Home app. Was getting frustrated since that was the main reason I bought it. After reading a few more reviews I realized others had the same problem, and found the solution – firmware update! After doing that, setting up in the Home app was a breeze. Literally seconds!Picture quality is outstanding. It can record up to 2K but if you are using Apple Home like me, it maxes out at 1080p. Itâs fine. Itâs still super clear.Motion detection is a tad sensitive, even when you adjust it. It does well to distinguish between animals and humans, so that helps.Recording can be continuous if you are not using Home and install an SD card. When using Home, continuous recording is disabled and it only records when movement or noise is detected. The plus – and this was the main reason for choosing a Home-compatible camera – is that Apple uploads recordings to your iCloud account but it doesnât count towards your storage limit. Huge benefit IMO.Apple has improved the Home app sufficiently that you can pretty much use it exclusively for control and monitoring, but the Eufy app has some additional features and settings that youâll need once in a while. Itâs a nice app, surprisingly. Very user-friendly.So far Iâm very happy with my choice. Eufy seems like a quality brand. So much so that I grabbed their pan and tilt cam (also Home compatible) on Black Friday. I reviewed that one too.
Eufy Security Solo Indoor Camera C120,
I wanted an indoor camera that I could use to monitor outside by way of my window, the Eufy C120 camera fits the bill for my type of use. This camera is small and compact but very powerful with its capabilities. I have it placed up against my window (using a silicone window mount) it captures everything that I need from a security camera. This method allows me to utilize the camera inside while keeping it safe from the weather, potential thieves and vandalism.YouTube is a great place to start (research) if in doubt. I was sold on the Eufy system: plug-in camera, operates with WiFi, camera’s detection provides instant alerts. There is a two-way audio feature, it is compatible with smartphones and tablets, has great night vision, budget-friendly; you can self-monitor (locally with a scan disk card) or you can subscribe to cloud services at a small cost.Overall, I am satisfied so far with this solo security camera and my use of it.
Works with Home Kit Nicely
The connection and set up was seamless with HomekitOnly down fall with this is homekit doesn’t allow continuous recording and only event based which doesn’t truly capture all events. No need for storage card if using cloud recording with homekitCamera quality is great. Currently using to se outside my house through a window. Works perfect at night as long as theres an outside light and infared is turned off.Good quality especially for the price. Would buy again.
Very good budget priced cam with plenty of features
This review is for the Eufy 2K indoor cam used with iOS app. I have this camera mounted in a sheltered location outdoors at my front door (accepting that this may void any warranty) . The camera comes compactly and attractively packaged. Include instructions are limited to set up and mounting but a link in the app provides help on the interface and settings. Take care mounting the attachment plate because the stand movement is somewhat limited. The app is very good and well designed and can be portrait or landscape. 2K resolution is excellent both live and playback. I used a Kingston 128GB class 10 flash card which is formatted by the camera for encryption. My first 24hrs of recording in 2K has used about 7GB so expect over two weeks of storage. If the camera is shared with another party it must be done by invitation and the sharee must set up their own user name/password. If a user name is used on an iOS device which is not already using that user name a nag will pop up each time the app is opened by the original user. Fingerprint id can be used for logon. Detection settings are any combination of person, pet or motion. Recognition is done onboard the camera so notifications are fast and can include a thumbnail. The detection zone is set using six points therefore can be any shape. Multiple detection zones are permitted. The camera is Apple HomeKit compatible but with HomeKit there are advantages and disadvantages. First the cons; only supports 1080P to stream in Home or native app, onboard AI, sound detection and pet command are disabled, Home app will not access SD card. Home will not record to iCloud 24/7 only clips triggered by motion are recorded. Custom detection area is not possible. For one camera a 200GB iCloud subscription is required, for up to the maximum of 5 cameras a 2TB subscription so $3.99 or $12.99 per month plus tax. Now the pros; Apple post processing AI may be better depending on needs. The replay timeline of clips triggered by motion show icons for person and pet detection. In iOS 14 (now in beta) known persons can be individually identified by name i.e. facial recognition with custom labels. SD card becomes unnecessary and all video is encrypted by your personal Apple device. Picture in picture keeps view on top of open apps.Google integration is working but only streams for about five minutes to smart display.
Amazing Camera for HomeKit!!
I bought them (2) on sale so really good value for your money, and even at their regular price I think itâs an excellent camera, Iâm a HomeKit user and man they work outstanding, I already had 2 other cameras from other brands, one is old and dated but still works fine, but the other one is not too old and more expensive than these and let me tell you that these cameras have better image quality and better features, and the best part is that they work with Apple Secure Video, so everything is encrypted and easy to acces, you have to have a 2TB iCloud plan if you have more than 2 cameras but I think thatâs fair, but also if you buy a separate sd card you can save the recordings there so if you donât want to pay for Apple Secure Video you still have access to your recordings. Great cameras overall, Iâll recommend it!!
Las compré en promoción y la verdad las volverÃa a comprar en caso de necesitarlas, tengo varios meses usándolas y todo perfecto, fácil d instalar y de usar, buena resolución. Las recomiendo mucho.

NOTE: I have been using WyzeCams for almost 2 years now, so my review will be heavily revolving around that comparison.I was looking to upgrade due to the fact that Wyze – against numerous customer requests – has zero intentions of making their cameras compatible with Apple HomeKit. Also, I was over dealing with all the little quirks that came with using WyzeCams (random disconnections, tiny bugs with every firmware update etc.), I donât need special face detection or pet detection features – for my usage all really I need is streaming video and motion notifications. After looking into what my options were I decided to try the Eufy 2k Indoor Camera since it is HomeKit compatible. The 2K camera is made of plastic, but it has a better finish to it compared to other cameras, with a simple, understated but nice looking modern design. Installing the 2k camera is like most others; inside the package you get the camera, a micro USB cables and a standard USB AC power supply. Installation hardware is included, and I like how the camera features a detachable base plate that makes positioning the camera much easier if itâs being wall-mounted. After installing the camera, I downloaded the Eufy security app from the App Store and fired it up.First of all, pairing the 2k camera within the Eufy app literally took seconds to do, and I was up and running in no time. Second (and more importantly) I could see that the Eufy’s 2k video quality was much, much clearer than WyzeCams lower-quality HD video. The “live view” video streaming on the 2k was crisp, smooth and never choppy (something that anyone who has used Wyzecams will tell you does happen regularly). Response was quick as well, whenever I went into the camera view it connected with no problem. I have the 2k camera in the exact same location as a WyzeCam that would on occasion take 5-10 seconds to connect to. Speaking of the Eufy app, it has a similar layout when compared to the Wyze app so learning my way around didn’t take much time to get used to. I did notice though that when compared to the Wyze app interface, the Eufy app felt much more polished and complete. The best features though for me so far are related to Apple’s HomeKit and the Home app. Before, I had to open the Home app to check the status or control any of my smart home products (lights, fans, etc.) and then open the Wyze app separately to check all the Wyze cameras. Because the Eufy 2k Indoor camera is HomeKit compatible, I could now see the camera’s live feed directly from the Home app! Also, because the Eufy 2k works with Apple’s HomeKit Secure Video, I know all of my video footage is more secure and stored privately. Honestly, I didn’t realize how much of an issue having to open multiple apps was until I had the means to view and control everything within one central app on my phone, and HomeKit compatibility makes this possible. So if you’re looking for a HomeKit compatible camera that has excellent features, excellent video quality, and effortless setup, the Eufy 2k indoor camera is an awesome choice. Granted, I am still not through trying out all the other features this camera has (person or pet detection, etc.) but as of this writing, I am already a happy customer. I actually went and ordered a second Eufy 2k Indoor camera to replace my other WyzeCam V2, and I’m already planning on buying their 2K Indoor Cam Pan & Tilt cameras to possibly replace my WyzeCam Pans. As much as I liked the low cost and decent features that Wyze cameras gave me, upgrading to the Eufy 2k cameras was an eye-opening experience and a great choice after all. They are only marginally more expensive than Wyzecams but well worth the price!
If I could give this a 4.8 star I would. I only had 2 cons to this purchase. The first would be that I did not know that it could only support up to 128gb storage until I received it, which I bought a 256gb at the same time that I now do not need lol. That information, I feel, wasnât very easy to find. Would have saved me the money had I known. The second con is that the app is sometimes buggy, but for the most part itâs comprehensive and works great.I use this camera to view my sleep behaviors so I can safely say the night vision is great. The video quality is blurry sometimes but mostly good. It has a large field of view and it was easy to mount. Audio is good, itâs hard to tell since I keep a fan on while I sleep so I canât hear what I say when I talk, but thatâs alright for my situation.Overall, I would absolutely recommend this camera for the continuous recording and the motion detection. This camera has helped me provide genuine evidence of my REM sleep disorder.
