Works very well
These hot and cold pack works very well. The gel inside are soft, no matter use for hot or cold. I put them in the fridge, around 0 degree for about 2 hours. The gel flow slower, but still soft. Compare to my other cold pack, it is rock solid.I especially like the fabric side with wrist strap. I normally don’t put ice pack directly on skin, too cold. This fabric is very handy, I don’t need to use paper towel or cloth. And I can use the strap to hold the pack at the pain spot. Very nice design.Speaking of using it as hot pad, I only microwave it for 20 seconds. It becomes warm and can last for a long time. I think if I want it hot, I can microwave it for 30 seconds. But my suggestion is don’t microwave it for too long. My experience with an old one, I accidentally microwave it for too long, it burst. I would suggest to microwave it for multiple short periods. Squeeze the gel to mix it well. Feel the temperature in between intervals to make sure not over heating the pack.The last thing I want to mention is the plastic bag to hold the gel is thick. It won’t leak easily. I think it is safe to use it for kids. Usually kids tools need to be more durable.Overall, I think the quality of these gel packs are good. The gel is soft no matter for hot or cold application. The fabric and wrist strap are very good ideas.
Ideal for face, elbows, knees
Who knew gel had an expiry date…apparently it does according to this item. These gel paks are an ideal size and thickness for anywhere on the face in addition to elbows or knees.The back side of the pads is soft and has an elastic you can use to hold it or fasten it.I choose to store this in the freezer in the box it came with since that is where the instructions for use are. These could only be better if they moved that info on to the face of the pad itself for quick reference. I usually put things like this in a freezer bag in the freezer so it will keep them clean. I store in freezer as it is unlikely I need a hot pak but these could be used for that with, for example, a castor oil wrap.
Convenient Ease of Use
The cloth backing and strap makes these ice packs really convenient to use since you don’t need to fumble around with wrapping it in a towel yourself – you can hold it for long durations without freezing your hands. Likewise, it also makes using it as a heat pack just as ergonomic.I would’ve liked to see the size be a bit longer though.At $18, its price is on par with other similar offerings on Amazon. As of this review, there’s also a 10% off coupon that makes this a more compelling buy.
Curves to your body
This is a great product to help heal sprains on your body. I had a swollen foot and the soft ice pack curved around my foot to cool the inflammation very well. It has an elastic band on the back that acts as a handle for your hand, which helps with getting hand fatigue. I first put the product in the freezer but I think this product works and may be intended for the refrigerator as it allows it to curve to the body. It’s a great product, a great buy.
Such a great idea for kids ice pack. They love them
Kids love getting to use these ice packs instead of a wet towel with ice under it. These things seem to get to just the right temperature to be cold enough to affect their ouchie but at the same time not be too cold that they can’t hold or starts to hurt.
Great for sore spots
My kids often end up with small bruises, bangs, cuts, bug bites, etc, and we’re always trying to find something that will stay on the affected area. These small, round gel packs are a great size for those times. You can either heat or cool them, so they’re versatile. We have heatable bags and large cold packs, but nothing this size. I especially like that the back side is covered in a soft, thicker fabric, which makes it more tolerable against your skin. And a strap to keep it from falling off. I already know we’ll get plenty of use out of these.

These little ice packs are nice. They are soft and comfortable on compare to other typical ones. Like them.
Handy to Have
I really like these round ice packs. They are perfect for those small areas that can sometimes cause pain. The cloth backing and wrist strap make these easy to hold. These can be used as a hot therapy, but Iâm just using them for cold therapy. If I need heat, Iâll use a heating pad.The quality of these cold packs is good. At about $6 these are on the expensive side, however, I think theyâre worth it.
