I received the “Farm Magnetic Color & Shape Maze” which is designed for children aged 3 to 5. This educational toy features a sturdy wooden board measuring 12 inches by 12 inches, topped with a clear acrylic cover that securely holds the magnetic pieces in place. It includes 4 colorful houses that are red, orange, green, and blue. Each house is labeled with a different shape such as a square, circle, triangle, and pentagon. Inside each house there are delightful animal icons, like a pig, a chick, a sheep, and a duck. Children can move loose pieces around by shape, color, or animal placing them into the house of their choice. This is done by using the attached red magnetic pen tool. While the concept is fantastic, I found the magnet on the red pen to be quite weak. It occasionally moves a few pieces especially on a flat surface but more often than not, it struggles to move any of the magnetic pieces properly which can be extremely frustrating. If the magnet were stronger, this toy could truly shine as an exceptional educational tool. I can see how this would help children develop their understanding of shapes, colors, and fine motor skills. Since I was so frustrated with the pen’s magnet, I decided to use one of the magnets on my refrigerator and placed it on top of the game. This stronger magnet allowed the pieces to now move freely around the board. The only downside is that the acrylic cover starts to get scratched up from the constant movement of the magnet sliding over it. Perhaps gluing a little bit of felt on the bottom of the magnet might prevent scratching but unfortunately I don’t have any felt handy to test out that theory. Overall, this is an engaging learning tool for young children but to get the best experience you will need to have an extra external magnet handy.

Simple but fun
My 3yo had fun with this until all the pieces are sorted. Sometimes one gets stuck and jams up the rest behind it, needing some extra help to free them. When she’s finished, I’ll dump them all back out and try to mess them up again for her to sort again. Takes a lot of patience to move the pieces, they don’t want to move too fast and the magnet tool isn’t very strong. Has helped a lot with her hand-eye coordination. Recommended.
Sturdy, well made, strong magnet
I have not had any issues with this toy, and my son loves it. He is only a toddler right now so I supervise him while playing, and sometimes he needs help, but I think this is a great toy because all the small pieces are fixed in place behind the thick plastic surface and unless it broke (which it doesn’t look like it would easily do that) it’s safe for him to play with.
Good educational game.
This is a well made and educational toy that the kids love to play with. It tests their fine motor skills while being fun. The only issue is the magnetic pen is not strong enough to move the pieces around consistently. I substituted the pen magnet for a monkey magnet from another game and all is well.

OK magnetic maze
We have a couple of toys like this and I have to say, this one is one of the liked ones. The pen magnet is simply too weak to drag the pieces continuously without having to pick up a dropped piece time and time again. For an older child, this may not be a deterrent but for a toddler, it is. My child loses interest quickly because the pieces cannot be dragged around if the pen is not placed at a perfect 90 degree angle over the pieces (and even if it is, you have to keep resetting because the magnets are just not strong enough). Nice idea but poor execution. I would say there are better toys of this kind out there.

This is an easy win toy for young children from the cute little barn scenes to the shapes and animals on the magnet shapes. It is so much fun for kids while the magnet is a little bit light powered. Itâs still functions and youâre still able to use the magnet pen to drag the shapes down the trail and into the barn. I do, however wish there were less pieces because they do tend to get clogged up and in the way, overall a very fun toy.
What a great toy for children to help with identifying colors and shapes, while using their motor skills! I especially appreciate the farm theme of this wooden puzzle, which will help kids become familiar with farm settings. The magnetic pencil allows for the child to spend lots of time moving around the shapes to the different locations within the puzzle. The corners of the puzzle are nice and smooth, which will help prevent damage and injury. The board is small and light-weight enough that it is easily portable.If this toy is used together with a parent during guided play time, I really think the young child can get a lot of fun and education out of it!This puzzle is made in China.
This sorting puzzle has a nice quality feel to it and I like the rounded corners. I like it that you can either sort animals, colors or shapes. Gives the kids a little more to do!
Very good board to manage a child’s motor skills, you can use it as a work tool like RBT, it is perfect for ABA, you can use it for colors, shapes and names. Recommended. There is no way for the magnets to leave the board, it is very safe.
