Q: How to connect this indoor camera to your phone?
1. Download the CloudEdge App2. Plug into the power supply and add device, choose “Power Plug Camera”-Smart Camera(2.4G Wi-Fi)3. Hold the reset button until hear the beep. (The reset button is on the bottom of the camera ball, just move upwards and you’ll see it.)4. Choose 2.4G WiFi and scan the QR code. (If you fail to connect it to a 5G +2.4G dual-band router, you can disable the 5G WiFi and reactivate it after the connection to 2.4G WiFi is made successfully.)5. Please make sure your WiFi is a 2.4G independent WiFi, and the WiFi password should not exceed 18 digits. Wi-Fi password should not contain the characters like or \, etc.

I get that some cheap things shouldnât last forever, but not even a year in and the main functionalities stopped working (motion detection, alarm and microphone) when I try to contact the seller it doesnât give me the option. Waste your money on something a little better that you will use longer.

Funovation 2K/3MP Indoor Camera for Home Security – ONVIF/RTSP works like a charm
I took this camera for garage surveillance during the test period and ultimately to interact real-time with my old parents.Usually I prefer IP cameras (for full configuration control) and avoid WiFi cameras by all means because of those awkward QR codes and particular limit to only mobile apps. However, for an internal camera this is not a big issue because if you ever need to re-pair it, the camera will be in an accessible location and probably in mint condition (unlike outdoor cameras which are in inaccessible locations and often hit by unforgiving weather conditions).With my IP vs WiFi rant out of way, let me go through basics:Camera looks really nice, itâs small and neat.PTZ works very well and the motor that drives the lens produces a subtle (barely hearable) satisfying sound.Camera supports movement detection and is able to follow a subject, however if you show up from blind-spot, camera will not detect any movement, which is not that good if used for wider area surveillance.Picture quality is solid (2K) so it’s a great choice for basic surveillance or child monitoring.Mobile app is standard with timeline and timestamp markings where the event (alarm) occurred but itâs missing ability to skip to the next event, so navigating through timeline is not the best experience. Also, when opening a mobile app, it takes a few seconds to fetch a live stream, so itâs not instant.A microSD card (not provided) can be inserted from the front side but the slot is revealed only when the lens is moved (with PTZ, not by hand please) all the way up.Yes, there is a subscription if youâd like to use a cloud solution, but in case if you stick with an SD card, this will avoid any recurring expenses. I had a spare SD card and chose this option.RTSP:I was very pleased when I saw that the camera supports RTSP (Real-Time Streaming Protocol). To turn it on, you need to go to options and enable ONVIF protocol settings.URL format is: “RTSP://[username]:[password]@[IPaddress]:8554/Streaming/Channels/101” (use 101 for HD resolution and 102 for SD resolution).Iâve tested it in:* ONVIF Device Manager* iSpy Agent* VLC* In addition, my Synology NAS also recognized this camera but I donât have license to add 3rd cam, so I couldn’t fully test it.Why all this hassle?If youâre happy to use a camera only on your phone, youâre good, however ONVIF protocol basically gives you the option to use the camera in other softwares on different platforms (including some smart TVâs) so youâre independent from your phone alone. In addition, ONVIF protocol is a direct local connection via IP address, so live stream is indeed live (fast), while when using a phone, there will be small latency.I think probably the most common scenario would be to use VLC on your desktop computer and watch live streams. To do that, open VLC and navigate to Media / Open Network Stream (or press Ctrl+N), then add a URL with your specific settings as per format above and you should be live :-)TL;DR:What I liked?* Compact small size and nice design* Ability to rotate almost all the way* SD card* Supported ONVIF/RTSP protocol* Privacy mode (to turn off lens on demand or scheduled)* Ability to buy advanced AI capabilities (people faces/animal recognition) via cloud subscriptionWhat I didnât like?* Mobile app needs more work, not very good in replaying recordings* Blind spots where camera wonât detect moving subjectConclusion: a very good camera with an affordable price tag (30$ with coupon at time of writing) couldnât ask for more in this range.

C’est aussi facile de lier la caméra à l’app. C’est un peu moins le fun d’essayer de fixer la caméra au mur. La pièce pour le faire est un peu cheap, mais j’ai réussi. L’image de nuit est ok pour mes besoins. Le détecteur de mouvement fonctionne bien.
Very easy to set up. The app shows a clear video of the room to watch and talk to your pets when youâre not at home. I bought one for my son to keep an eye on his cat, and he loves it, too. Would also make a great security camera, but needs to be near a wall outlet to use.
I am very impressed with this little camera. The quality of the camera itself is really nice and the picture quality is wonderful. We have this set up in our home mostly to keep an eye on our dogs and house when we are at work. The app was very easy to install on my phone and connect to Wi-Fi. Every time the camera senses movement it turns on and sends an alert through the app to my phone and I can instantly see what it is looking at. The night vision capabilities are really nice as well and the images are extremely clear. The camera also tracks movement and follows you, which is kind of creepy when home, but we just unplug it while we are here and plug it back in when we leave, not really a big issue. Overall, I think it’s a good purchase if you need to keep on eye on anything while away or not in the same room. This is mostly for indoor use only, but I’m assuming you can use it outside if it’s under a roof structure of some kind and does not get wet. It does have to be plugged into a wall outlet in order for it to work so it will not run when unplugged. The app will tell you when someone unplugs it and is offline so that is a nice feature. I do not have any complaints about this camera besides my own personal issues with the feeling of being watched but it’s easy to unplug until I get used to it.

. . . you just need to follow the instructions. Like other web cameras they want you to sign up for an account so they can sell you cloud service. I’m configured to record locally.So what is there to say about this camera? It was easier to set up than the other camera because apparently it used Bluetooth to to get its initial settings from the mobile app. It comes with an AC adapter but no SD card. It also wants to be installed on a 2.4ghz wireless network (and will tell you so if are trying to do otherwise). The cable is hardwired into the device and is about 6 feet long. It also comes with a wall mount and anchors.The QR code in the instructions initially sends you to a Chinese site then back to the app store to download. Once installed, it was easy to control the camera.I’m new to the world of security cameras. I notice that they don’t seem to include any PC or Mac software but I did find a 3rd party software that will allow viewing cameras from different manufacturers on my mac (and even control them for a price . . .but I’m not reviewing software here).In summary: – decent picture – easy setup
I gave it 5 stars cause even though i can’t use it here of no fault of this company by the way. For me the blinking red light on a camera works fine as a deterent. So lets explain why it’s not usable. My internet company ran into a problem with my line instead of fixing they created a new line with the 5ghz. so i cannot use this as it logs into 2.4. now thats only here but i only plan to stay here for a couple of months. If my new place has 2.4 and this doesn’t work i will update everyone. Love the look and when i turned it on it scans 180 degrees i didn’t even know it could rotate. So its a great quality device just make sure you can use it check to see if you are on 5 or 2.4 first.
