Baby nail filers is the easier option to nail clippers. This device is super cute Fox themed, and so simple. There’s a single button, which can toggle between speeds. Easy to hold, LED light and quite motor. Can trim baby’s paper like nails even while asleep. This set is gentle, by using pressure safety system. So the pads are color coordinated to recommended age, and interchangable. There’s even an adult size. Key points: Highly recommend a product LIKE this to every new parent to have a nail trimmer. Lots of similar items out there, this is roughly $2 more than many competitors. But haakaa is a major brand name. Personally, this seems to be one that haakaa approved to put their brand name on. Still, like many others, this does NOT have replacement pads on the haakaa site to buy. I can’t currently recall, but I do believe there is a brand name out there that does offer the drill pads to fit their specific nail trimmer.This would make a perfect baby shower gift. Or baby registry item.Honest, you should pack and take it to the hospital. Baby was born with nails that she nicked her own face hours after birth. (and the nail clippers were home).Now that baby # 2 is on the way, we know to bring this kit to the hospital. (even the nursing staff never helped address the nails, not sure if this applies to most hospitals)My only deduction is that the seller site does NOT sell replacement filing pads. (I do see other competitors that DO sell replacement pads).I have also seen that you can buy “generic” replacement pads, but if it is anything like trying to buy replacement electric toothbrush tips then good luck finding the exact size “rod” or “stem” that plugs into the main device. I would have to look carefully and spend lots of time measuring the diameter/circumference of the stem and finding the correct replacement. Just not what a new parent has time to go and figure that out. My recommendation is to buy from a seller that DOES offer replacement heads.
super easy to use and learn how to do. I was initially scared but mastered this quickly.
Shame this didn’t turn out the way I had hoped. I have use other haakaa products but this electric nail file is too dangerous. The edge of the disc’s are sharp and cut my baby’s finger. Pressure sensor is present but only kicks in after some good pressure is sensed and by then it’s too late. Will stick with nail clippers. Would not recommend.
Easy to use and effective. Itâs basically an electric nail file, not too loud, with multiple heads to use based on babies age. Haakaa is a great brand anyway and Iâm happy with this trimmer.
