Favorite nipple guards.
I have a lot of nipple guards from different brands, these are my personal favorites. They wash easy, have a great fit and stay on on really well. I have shallow nipples and babies with tongue ties so these are the only way they latch when really young. They are thin enough that you can still feel if they have a good suction and if they are drinking properly. It still dulls the pain and sensation a little.

Do Not Buy
Does not stay on properly no matter what I try. It won’t cup the breast and the nipple collapses on itself while baby is sucking. It does not promote a good latch because of the issues mentioned and is uncomfortable when baby struggles to get milk out effectively.

This is a great sheild! The hospital gave me a Medela sheild and it was okay. This Haakaa shield works better, in my opinion, because it is a little thicker which helped my sore nipples a little more. I also love that they give a case to carry the sheild in. This is great for just throwing it in the diaper bag for when I need to nurse on the go.

This is my first newborn , and I had the goal to exclysively feed our daughter breastmilk . At first I wanted to feed her on demand and switch to pumping , but getting her to latch was difficult and our midwife could only help so much. When our midwife was here , she’d help baby with feedings but as soon as she left it would become difficult again . Then she started not latching at all after 5 days , so I decided to purchase the spectra s2 pump parts & exclusively pump . I started missing the feeling of breastfeeding, it feels so personal and I enjoy the motherhood experience of being able to breastfeed so I purchased the nipple sheilds in hopes of getting her to latch on my breast again . I am SO grateful I ignored the negative reviews and purchased this anyways. I set my expectations low but stayed hopeful , knowing my baby has been drinking breast milk from bottles for 2 full weeks at this point . Of course I washed and sterilized as soon as I got them and waited overnight for them to dry , I was nervous to try it as she would get beyond frustrated when she couldn’t latch on making her so fussy and harder to calm down . A day of having them I still hadn’t used them , but today I was in the comfort of my own home and she had already eaten 5 ounces of breastmilk I had in the fridge in one hour , so I decided to try latching . Low and behold SHE LATCHED IN SECONDS !!!! There was NO fuss , NO delay , NO frustration . I have never written a review but the ease of our breastfeed today was such a blessing & I hadn’t seen a review like mine where a mother was trying to breastfeed after weeks of bottle feeding . I hope this can help any mother in a similar situation . Of course every one is different , but I will say this was the best purchase for my baby . I’m so beyond thankful my baby gets to have jars and jars of breastmilk as well as feed on demand with ease

If you are clueless (like me) on what breast shields to buy, these are great!!!! Very easy to use and wash. HIGHLY recommend!!!
