Looks like a smoke detector and works better than i thought on 5ghz network
First this looks like any other smoke detector, noone would think it’s a camera, look at my pics, 2 are smoke detectors. So i have a google mesh network and was worried this camera wouldnt get picked up, but it works! it took me a few tries to get the QR code to notice the camera on the provided app, btw select WIFI CAMERA from the options after you install the camera and do a MANUAL DEVICE Add, dont count on it to be picked up through scanning…. Then hold the camera lens on the bottom of the unit and show the qr code from the closer of the lens and slowly move it back, you’ll get a chime and then it will work flawlessly even on a 5ghz network like mine. There is a SD slot inside the unit and on off button, you would need a dedicated microusb cable extended out to a powercube in a wall hopefully hidden so people can’t see it for a truly covert smoke camera. I will do this as it’s in my entrance of a rental. They say you have to contact manufacturer to enable sound recording, but i wont have a need for that. Picture is decent 720p , same leg as any other camera. You can stream directly to the phone and record onto your phone or on the camera itself. i havent played with all the settings on the app, but it has most of the same ones you’d expect. All in all great camera .
The worst app and camera
This is 2nd camera with Tuya App that we sent back. Its very hard to set up, takes a loooong time to pair the devices and by the end – NOT WORKING. The other camera that we ordered from the different company was working in 2 min literally.GARBAGE
Great camera
I really like this cameraï¼it is great value. It works great as a house door camera. Easy to use and it has a decent clear video. the camera has both day vision and night vision, it has 1080p HD AND it is hidden in smoke detector. I also love that I have it on my phone to check on my home and can see what’s going on. It connected perfectly and work flawlessly , very recommend to get this camera.

It was incredibly hard to pair with the phone. Also, the value only last about an hour in 30 minutes, that’s if you can get it to work, and if you can get it to pair off..

First I can say – great customer service by Jacelyn. They’ve tried to assist me as much as I need, sent me a free replacement device, sent me guidance how to fix problems. So, great job, thank you guys.Unfortunately, I was able to connect Cam with the cell, configure it thru router, but still wasn’t able to retrieve the stream. This is the downside, but probably something wrong in my network configuration, not sure (because device was working, connecting).
It only works with 2.4G….won’t work with 5G NOBODY HAS A SMOKE THAT WORKS ON 5G
I didn’t like that none of smokes have 5G capability…HAD TO RETURN ITHOWEVER …The merchant was the best with prompt service and communication.The product probably does work as long as your computer literate and know how to adjust your router to 2.4 GI recommend this seller to anyone
