Nicely scented and easy to use Â
I got this for my kids for the colder season, as they get colds and coughs frequently. I really like that the ingredients are eucalyptus, lavender, and chamomile because I use these essential oils often in our routines. I also avoid petroleum, so I was glad that this was a petroleum-free product. The rub is nicely scented and not overly powerful. My kids like to have it rubbed on and even ask for it when not sick. The rub doesn’t have a sticky or oily residue and is pleasant to wear.

It’s okay, but no descongestant capacity
It’s just a rub, with a nice (or strong) scent for some. It’s more to create a routine and a physical rub than to help the baby with a cough and associated congestion, for example. I like that it’s petroleum free, but I would love to have something that works as well as Vicks does.
Seems to Work!
Of course, I can’t speak from personal experience but my grandson seems to love it!For a few weeks he was having difficulty settling down for the night. During the day he would nap almost on command but at night he seems to get anxious and twitchy and it would sometime take 3 hours for him to get to sleep.We started using this hydraSense rub on his chest and shoulders and it seemed to work instantly. He seems to calm down almost immediately and is fast asleep soon after. I’m not sure if it’s the gentle and natural scent , or the sensation of the rub on his skin (probably a combination of both) that helps, but however it works, it works great.I also really appreciate the natural ingredients with no chemical additives.
Smells Lovely, And Soothes!
So I’ve actually been using this on myself quite a bit and it’s actually been really nice during the day and before bed! I’m sure I’ll share it soon but for now it’s just for me!It’s got a lovely smell – chamomile, lavender and eucalyptus. I’ve found that button a small fingertip amount on my neck and jaw is more than enough to be able to smell it very well. To combine with that, it has a lovely soothing effect that during my busy work day is oh so appreciated. It’s nicely absorbing and cleans off easily as well without leaving residue of any kind!Overall, I’d highly recommend this soothing rub to absolutely anyone! It’s a wonderful addition to a bathroom cabinet and a little goes a very long way.
Interesting but why
I like to test products on myself before I buy them for the small to extra small members of my family. This one is as described, with a rather strong scent that fades over time, and no overtly medical ingredients. I am not someone who is a general fan of putting things on younger ones that are unnecessary until they are old enough to make they own choices (littles do count, if they want to use scented stuff they can have a dab). So what’s the goal? Essential oils can be irritants… if the scents soothe and there has been patch testing I guess it can’t hurt but the same scents can be brought to a young one without direct skin contact.
