Travel time was excellent
My grandson (6 months) went with his Mom to Vancouver (5 hr flight) and she used it during the flight. It was a fire test for the product. She was very pleased with it and used it on the way there and back. She commented to me that the bed is very well designed, and she never worried about my grandson falling off the seat or being uncomfortable, it has a nice bed belt. She said that it made her feel great seeing that he had his own little spot while on the plane which is something that is difficult for toddlers and babies. It inflated easily and when deflated the bag is perfect and, it is easy to store and carry on, On the way there he slept 3 hours and, on the way back 3.5 hours, so this was awesome for her. She says that if you are traveling, this is a very good product, easy to use, easy to pack and very useful. My son and her have two dogs and that is why she hasn’t used it in their living room, they don’t want to risk one of the dogs either jumping or taking a bite on it, but for people with no pets, it is another potential use for it, aside from traveling. Very good product!
Vibrant colour and comes with a soft blanket
I got this for when we travel with my kids. I think this will be great for my 4 year old who is on the smaller side. I don’t think it is ideal for kids older than 4 though. This set comes with a small soft blanket, which is a nice touch because airplanes can get cold. It comes with a pump and while it makes it easier to pump the inflatable, it still takes some time and also makes noise when pumping. If you are traveling with another adult, I would recommend one person get to the plane seat first and pump the inflatable. Once they finish pumping it, then you can get the other adult with your child. I think this just makes it easier since it will already be set up for your child to go on once they get on the plane. It only takes a few minutes to pump the inflatable which is nice, but if you have traveled with a child before, it can be difficult to get them all settled in and comfortable in their seat. It takes a while to deflate and I am worried that I am probably going to be just taking this off the plane partly inflated and then I’ll just fully deflate it when I come off so I can put it in the storage bag they provided. I like that this is can be converted into a day bed and could be a comfy place for kids to lounge when they are in the hotel. I am pretty happy with the product and the colour is also vibrant so my 4 year old is excited to use it.
Quick to Set Up, Comfortable and Convenient
The Lucky Carrot toddler airplane bed is quick to set up, comfortable, and convenient. The bed arrived in a well-packed box, and unboxing was simple. Inside, youâll find the bed, a small pump, and a bonus blanket. Set up is easy Simply connect the pump, inflate the bed, and itâs ready to go. The pump is compact and straightforward to use, and the bed was fully inflated in just a few minutes. It feels sturdy and comfortable. The air mattress holds its shape well once inflated and feels sturdy enough to support toddlers up to 5 years old comfortably. Itâs just the right size for a toddler to sleep in without taking up too much space in a room or on the go. The sides provide a bit of a barrier, so it helps keep your child in place during sleep. The included blanket is soft, though I did find it to be a bit smaller than expected, so just something to keep in mind if your child tends to move around a lot. When it comes to travel, this inflatable bed is an excellent option for providing a familiar sleeping surface on the go. Whether at a hotel or a friendâs house, it provides a comfortable, stable bed for toddlers. It folds up easily for storage and travel, and the improved pump is a big plus, making inflation much faster than other similar products Iâve used. Overall, this is a solid choice for any parent looking for a portable and comfortable sleeping solution for their toddler. Full marks from me!
Handy for Kid-Friendly Flights âï¸
We took this inflatable bed on our toddlerâs first long flight, and it made a big difference. It was easy to set up, and he was comfy enough to actually sleep, which was a relief for us all. Packing it back into the bag was simple too.The only snag was needing the pump, it takes up space and isnât optional. Also, itâs worth double-checking if your airline allows it. Overall, itâs a practical travel item if youâre prepared for a bit of extra gear.
Extremely Overpriced: $112 vs $32
⦠and right there alone this product goes from its maximum potential of 5 stars to a new maximum potential of 2 stars. The $32 version is identical to this one except that it is grey and white and does not come with a pump. By the way, the $32 version got 5 stars. Also note that this is a TODDLER bed. The seller has photos and a video of babies clearly under the age of 2 years old, yet the box says that this is only for toddlers aged 2-4. Products that are unsafe automatically get 1 star from me and the seller is promoting unsafe use. Furthermore, there is a photo of a woman installing one of these in the back seat of a car, which would seem to indicate that itâs totally fine to do this. In any country, 50% of the population is of below average intelligence; thatâs just simple math. The seller does say that their product can be used âfor comfy breaksâ when travelling but does not make it crystal clear that this is NOT for moving vehicles. This âwarningâ(?) is written in a small font and in a colour similar to the background which someone with compromised vision is not likely to see. Furthermore, according to the OECD, 44 million adults in the United States are not literate enough to read a simple story to their children.Do you need a cherry on the cake? This product stinks!
Loved the color and the fact that it comes with a pump however it took me a good 8 minutes to inflate this. Not ideal when on an airplane with a toddler. It inflates in 3 separate sections which is nice as you can alter the firmness in different areas. The base that connects to the floor is a little thin and I think would be sturdier if it was a bit thicker.
I bought this for a flight from Seattle to Taiwan. This review is a little bias because the flight had plenty of open seats which means that there was space for my daughter to sleep comfortably in the seats. She is 2 years old and preferred the seats. Also, she was already fussy and didn’t want to try something new. She is accustomed to regular seats on planes and mimics people around here. Many people were sleeping in their seats, but no one had an inflatable bed.We had some issues blowing it up. She was upset at one point and grabbed the valve and ripped it out of the inflatable. The valve could pop back into the hole, but it makes me wonder if it would leak easily (maybe that is a feature because of cabin pressure changes?). Otherwise, it was pretty simple to operate and the flight attendants were curious and happy to accommodate its use. Blowing it up on the plane was awkward because of the space available.I can’t give it 5 stars because my daughter didn’t want to use it and the valve popped out, but these could be unrelated to the product itself.Pro – it came in its own bag which helped to contain it. The blanket was fuzzy and a good size. The mattress fit in the airplane seat as expected.
I donât feel like this could be great for everybody, as far as packing goes-youâll lose space to this. But it would definitely be worth it on a long haul flight. Itâs nice & easy to use and itâs not overly bulky
Be fore warned you can fill up before the flight and must deflate before descending. Because I was fling alone I just didn’t have he energy to set everything up by myself and the twins. The flight attended also informed that some airlines don’t even allow you to use them. I can say that you can use them in other areas. I pumped them up as soon as I got to our hotel and the babies love them. I also used it in the pool area and when we went to the beach. I easily opened the back door and had a comfortable bed to change the babies, saving my back from further strain. Easy to pump, straps to help keep baby in place and secure. I would definitely recommend especially if you do a lot of traveling.
I’m planning to use this inflatable toddler airplane bed for our upcoming trip (fingers crossed it works with our chosen airline). I inflated it to test its sturdiness, and it feels solid. I think my daughter will love sleeping on it, and it gives me peace of mind knowing sheâll be safe without the risk of falling, especially since we’re not bringing a car seat on the plane.
