Works as it should and responsive
I am very happy with the infrared gun, I’ve purchased others and this one feels very sturdy. Accurate enough temperature readings with an included laser. No complaints.
Useful but not precise
If you are looking for a precise temperature measurement this wonât work for you. It was off by over 2 degrees Celsius. If you are just looking for an approximate measurement itâs handy.
Not accurate for cold temperature
Pretty disappointed with this digital thermometer. I purchased it to monitor/check the temperature of my cold plunge/tub. The other day, I checked the temperature of my water… it showed 19 degrees Fahrenheit… there was no ice in my tub. It was cold, but water freezes at 32F. Something is obviously wrong with it. It seems to work ok at higher temperature. The water in the toilet showed 67F, so just a bit less than ambient temperature. I think I will return it since I can’t rely on it for monitoring my water temperature in my cold plunge.

Change de température aussitôt quâon diffère de distance un tant soit peu jâavais un autre thermomètre à cuisson et jâai comparé les Températures et il était à +/- 8 degrés de plus câest pourquoi jâai raté toute une recette de sucre à la crème peut être le mien est défectueux car il y a de bons commentaires enfi je ne recommande pas du tout pas fiable
Not consistent readings
I checked the temp of some warm water and got different readings. From high to low and back to high when the container was stationary on the counter. First reading 113, then 103, then 118, etc.
I got this for cooking, as I regularly use a Blackstone griddle and a fryer (propane burner.) This allows me to get an instant reading on my griddle temperature so I know the hotter and cooler spots when cooking, and also to get the right starting temperature on my griddle (usually 350 to 375 degrees.) It’s great for my frying, too. Last night I was able to monitor the temperature of cooking oil to ensure 375 degrees before dropping food into the oil, and then to keep the temperature right by adjusting the burner flame after food was added. So much easier than a standard thermometer. Love it!
