Reviews

  1. Excellent alternative to trimmer. Multiple grinding heads. Portable
This nail file was absolutely new to me. I appreciate the fact that it uses just one battery and is highly portable. All five grinding heads fit right at the back of the filer beneath its own compartment – so no having to go about to search for grinders. Again, this too, lends itself to being really portable. I see this as an option not just for babies but for adults and even pets. These interchangeable pads/grits allow for increased use as baby grows and each one is a different colour making it easy to distinguish. The box even makes notes of what grinder to use from newborn on up. It also has a grinder for adult use only. It is easy to use with two speeds offered with the same on/off button switch. My preference for baby is to use on the lowest speed. This is all you really need to get started. Thoughtfully, it is a quiet trimmer so no startling of child. I don’t quite get the LED light as I would necessarily use in the day so as to ensure not even getting barley close to quick of baby’s nail. Thoughtfully, the entire unit comes in a small carrying case – just great to store. I dislike trimmers so, this is a great alternative. The price of $12.99, at the time of this review, is more than fair and would make a great add-on to a baby shower gift. All this considered, I am inclined to rate 5 stars.

  2. Easy to use baby nail file
I like this baby nail file, it’s easy to use and compact. It comes with 5 swappable heads that also store in the handheld motor. It feels hood in the hand and is easy to maintain control , doesn’t make a lot of noise and is gentle on the little ones nails. It uses 1 AAA battery and comes with a soft cloth storage case. Very happy with it, makes a hood baby shower gift

  3. An excellent option for my new Chiweenie puppies
I got this specifically to use on my 8 week old Chiweenie puppies and it works great.I tried it on myself first, and yes, you can stall the motor easily enough. but with a bit of practice, and the right grit, it is very effective. Just let the grinding wheels do the work and don’t press too hard. The unit is nearly silent and didn’t startle the pups at all!Considering the pups nails and feet are all black I really appreciated the LED light.I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this at all!At $12.99 CAD at the time of this review, I think this is good value considering you can pay almost the same amount for a pair of manual clippers.5 stars from me!

  4. Safe and Easy to Use for My Baby
I absolutely love the IvyWind Baby Nail File Electric! This 5-in-1 baby nail trimmer is a game-changer. It’s so gentle on my baby’s delicate nails, and I no longer have to worry about cutting them too short or accidentally hurting her. The LED light is a fantastic feature, making it easy to trim her nails even in low light without straining. The different attachments are great for different stages as she grows, and the automatic safety function gives me peace of mind. It’s quiet, easy to handle, and the rechargeable battery lasts a long time, so I don’t have to constantly replace batteries. Overall, this is an excellent product that makes nail trimming safe, efficient, and stress-free. Highly recommend it to all parents!

  5. Cool idea
My older son is just learning how to take care of his nails. This is such a cool idea for him to be able to use in a safe way to file down his nails on his own. This could also be used for a new mom who is nervous about cutting their child’s nails. It is easy to use and easy to store away when not in use.

  6. Safe and effective
Pro:It is safe for newborns. It has multiple options for growing aged babies.

  7. Electric nail file
Nice nail file, great for little babies and toddler. Its so soothing and easy for them.Works well.

  8. Versatile but not practical
I got the IvyWind Baby Electric Nail File because of its versatility and user-friendly design, making it suitable for all ages, from infants to adults. It features a 5-in-1 universal design with multiple attachments, an LED light for better visibility, and two-speed settings for personalized use. Its simple operation and appealing design make it a great addition to my household. However, one feature, the automatic safety mechanism to prevent over-cutting, feels a bit overpowered. While the slower speed is excellent for safely trimming infants’ nails, it struggles with adult nails. The device often stops mid-use, making the process significantly slower. Trimming just one nail took about as long as trimming all the nails with a manual nail cutter. While it’s a great tool for babies, its inefficiency for adults limits its practicality for broader use.

  9. It’s small for little hands but is big enough to hold comfortably in my hand. It’s quiet so it won’t startle little ones and also great to do while they are asleep. It’s low power and also a high power setting, which is still low enough power and it runs on 1 AAA battery, which makes it very portable as well. It has a light which helps with smaller nails so you don’t accidentally get their fingers. It comes with extra discs that attach on the front of the grinder with a plastic cover to go over them so they aren’t in the way or falling off.

  10. When I first came across this, I was intrigued but also a bit skeptical. Trimming my baby’s nails always made me nervous, and the idea of using something electric on those tiny fingers was both reassuring and intimidating. But after using it, I can honestly say this has become one of my favorite baby care items! The 5-in-1 feature makes it really versatile. It has different attachments for each stage, from newborn to toddler, and even for adults, so it’s a tool that can grow with my little one and be used by the whole family. The LED light is such a thoughtful addition! It illuminates the nail area perfectly, which makes trimming so much easier, especially if you’re doing it while they’re asleep or in lower lighting. The operation is really simple, which I love as a parent who doesn’t have time to fuss with complicated gadgets. There are 2 speeds to choose from, so I can adjust it depending on how thick or delicate the nails are. I usually keep it on the slower speed for my baby’s soft nails, and it’s gentle yet effective without any risk of accidental nicks. The nail trimmer is surprisingly quiet, which helps a lot when my baby is napping. I can quickly and safely trim without worrying about waking them up, which is a huge relief. I used to dread nail-trimming time, but now it’s almost become a routine I don’t have to stress over. It’s nice not having to wrestle with regular clippers and worry about accidentally cutting too close. What’s also great is that it’s comfortable for both my baby and me. My baby doesn’t seem bothered at all by the gentle buzzing, and it’s small enough to fit easily in my hand without feeling bulky. It’s also really safe and soft on their delicate nails, which was my biggest concern.

  11. IvyWindBaby Nail File Electric, 5 in 1 Universal Baby Nail Trimmer with LED Light, Automatic Safety Baby Nail Clippers for Infants Newborn Toddler Kids Adults, 2 Speeds, Simple Operation, Gray$9.99 (Prime), at the time of this reviewWe have a 2-week-old granddaughter who was born with long, sharp nails. The neonate nurses told us to wait two weeks to cut her nails, but in the meantime, she was in danger of scratching her face, so we had to keep her hands in mitts or fold-over sleeves 24/7. This device made her nailcare super simple and safe, with no danger of nicking her tiny little fingers. The interchangeable pads allow for different degrees of abrasion as baby gets older and her nails harden more. It operates quietly and we were able to use it while she slept. Very pleased. I wish this had been an option when our kids were little – it would have saved us all some fear!!

  12. This baby nail file is compact, easy to hold and operate. However, unfortunately the power is weak since it’s powered by a single 1.5V AAA battery (not provided in package). The grinding disc head slows down or even stops when filing nail. Wish the motor is more powerful and uses USB rechargeable battery. The LED light is a nice feature, but the grinding head blocks the light from shining on the nail being worked on. Nice to come with different interchangeable heads.

  13. This is smaller than the Frida and the extra sanding bits are all stored in the unit making this ultra portable. In terms of strength, it’s about the same as the Frida, but unlike the Frida it only works in one direction and only has a single button that you have to cycle through. It also takes a single AAA battery which is not included, but you can use a rechargeable one if you want.Overall, I’d highly recommend this baby dremel. It’s one of the most compact, low power consumption baby dremels around.Even if it’s low power and only has a single button to operate, this is perfect for your go bag, the Frida can be for home, this is far less of a hassle then trying to file a babies nails with an actual nail file…Get yours!
