This was a gift to our 10 month old granddaughter and she was immediately interested in it. It provided an opportunity for her to place the bees into the hive and remove them. All parts were safe, soft, and colorful and easy to find on the floor; perfect for tiny fingers to manipulate. One of the best gifts ever. Even my finicky daughter-in-law approved.

The bees in this beehive are so cute and have a variety of noises – there are 5 bees, each with their own gimmick. One bee has a bell, one bee has a quiet rattle, one bee has a squeaker. One bee has crinkle paper in its body, making loud crinkle noises. The last bee has crinkle paper in its wings, making quiet crinkle noises. The bees arrive tucked inside the beehive.Each bee is about the size of a golf ball, so they could get lost, but there are several of them which helps immensely. I am actually giving them to my cats – my cats really like toys that make sound, and so far they have been a hit! The bee hive makes for a really convenient way to store them when we are done playing.

I got this for my toddlers and my baby to use and all three of them LOVE this! My almost two year old goes around calling the bees “buzz” since I taught her how to say buzz! She loves playing with the different sensory aspects! The fact that you can put them all into the beehive makes singing the “where is the beehive” song! The beehive also has a little window on it and it is SO cute! The material is super soft as well and nice!
