I got a free file cabinet but the lock had no keys (the cabinet is like 40 years old lol). I thought I could just replace the lock but after contacting locksmiths and the manufacturer, it was so old they couldnât figure out the locking mechanism. I had no clue these things were that complicated.So I purchased these and they work perfectly. Well with one exception which is my bad but the lock part being on the cabinet makes it unable to slide the door piece in all the way but Iâm still happy with the locks themselves.

This was easy to install, look good and high quality. Only complaint is that I bought a few of them and each has a separate key. I would have preferred to only have to keep track of one key but other than that it is fabulous.
