Love them!
Love these diapers, adjustable and water resistant as well as and comfy for baby. Comes with inserts but doesn’t leak even without them in. Great value for the price and easy to clean plus the designs are very cute. They are a little big so not the greatest for newborns but still a good option if it’s all you have, there is just a little bit of having to figure out how to adjust to make them so small (this is the only time I find leaks happen as the leg holes are too big for baby so the pee leaks out the sides). Will be buying more

This will be a rather long review, but I’m sure there is a mom and/or pop that has been scavenging the internet for all the reviews on all the cloth diapers and perhaps this will help you out a bit. Disclaimer, the above mentioned mom was me. I was searching for performance, durability, longevity, a Canadian brand, ease of use, as well as, cuteness in a cloth diaper. I should also mention my bundle of joy has not arrived yet, but I have been doing cloth diaper research for the majority of my pregnancy now and have learned a lot, specifically the things to look out for when buying a cloth diaper stash.These are 10 “pocket style” diapers and they come with 20 highly absorbent bamboo inserts (NOT microfiber ones, thank God! – do your own research, but those just aren’t known to work very well, can cause compression leaks, and can hold onto stink even after washing them properly).I highly recommend checking out the fluff love university website to find out the correct way to launder your c. diapers in your specific location/laundry set up. They have allll the tips, tricks and tried&true solutions to make your cloth diaper journey go super smoothly.All 10 diapers have double gussets for superior protection against leaks and blowouts, a ‘not too wide’ and ‘not too slim’ design to comfortably fit between baby’s legs and inside baby clothing (see 7th photo – smallest part between the legs is just under 6 inches wide), and have more snap settings on the front than most c. diapers on the market to allow for a perfect fit throughout most baby sizes (see 1st photo)! It should be noted that cloth diapers, in general, ARE bulkier than disposable diapers and you may need to size up in clothing accordingly. These specific diapers are said to work on babies from 10-35lb depending on how you adjust the snaps. The 8th photo compares the largest possible setting on the left and the smallest possible setting on the right (I left the inserts out for this photo). These diapers specifically have two openings for the inserts (seen in the 3rd photo), one in the front of the diaper and one in the back. This feature is awesome because it means you don’t need to pull the soiled inserts out before tossing them into the laundry as they will agitate out on their own (saving you time and gross fingers). There is also a flat laying tummy panel on the front of the diaper (which lays overtop of the insert opening – seen on the left of the 3rd photo) and this aids in avoiding front leaks and wetness sitting on baby’s tummy.Each bamboo insert can hold approximately 6.5oz. of liquid each and is made up of 70% bamboo and 30% polyester. It is up to you whether you insert one or two inserts (or more if you have more/or need more) which would give you a total of 13oz. of liquid absorbency ability. Although these diapers provide you an area to stuff the inserts inside of them by which they won’t be up against your baby’s bottom, you CAN alternatively lay these bamboo inserts just on the inside of the diaper because bamboo is okay to lay right against baby’s bottom. I don’t think you should do this with microfiber inserts or hemp inserts. I’m told, hemp inserts are great to add to the bottom of a “diaper insert sandwich” to provide the best coverage for overnight and nap time solutions because hemp holds more liquid, but absorbs more slowly than bamboo ones. These bamboo inserts are 4 layers of material thick (8 layers if you use both inserts), but still very thin and incredibly soft (see 4th photo).As mentioned above, do some research on how to launder your c. diapers properly, but assume you’ll be washing at least every 3-4 days to keep your diapers in good shape, to avoid excessive stench, and to avoid crazy stains (of which is not common unless you are not cleaning regularly enough). Everyone seems to have a different magic number to suggest when deciding how many you should buy, but I’ve seen others say anywhere between 20 and 40 diapers. Obviously with 20 diapers, you’ll need to be washing quite frequently. But just because you have 40 diapers, this does not mean you should go more than 4 days before washing. If you already know how many diapers you typically need daily, this will help you to determine the number that would work best for your situation. I believe you need to change c. diapers slightly more frequently than disposables, every 2 ish hours is what I’ve seen recommended typically. Note that because inserts are meant to absorb liquids (and hopefully do it well!), they will take the longest to dry before they are ready to be stuffed and used again. The outer portion of the diapers dries really quickly, the inserts, however, take more time. I hang dry the diapers and use the dryer on the inserts (sometimes it takes a few cycles to get them completely dry). Occasionally, you can hang dry everything outdoors (if it’s not winter!), hanging them so the inside of the diapers and the inserts are exposed to sunlight (this will provide natural sun bleaching which removes stains amazingly), but doing this too frequently will wear down the diapers and ruin the elastics, so do it sparingly. I believe that lapetiteourse.ca also recommends this same advice on their website.Although there are plenty of safe products you can use on baby’s bottom with c. diapers, just do a quick google search to confirm. Some products can create a barrier on the diapers and can cause repelling of liquids (even after normal laundering) which in turn will cause you leaks when baby is wearing them. There are also cases of some products causing stains (typically products containing zinc). Stains aren’t the end of the world, but a lack of absorbency would render your diapers useless, until you strip them, and doing this too frequently can wear down your diapers overtime. A quick and easy solution is to use disposable liners (laid between diaper and baby bottom) while you’re using any questionable products to avoid them affecting your diapers. Disposable liners also make for easy stool cleanup (use the liner to toss stool in the toilet and dispose of the liner into the garbage). Pee and wetness sinks through the liner into the diaper, but the stool is caught by the liner. 👌🏼Sold separately.You will want to get yourself 2 large wet bags to hold dirty diapers between washes, and at least one smaller one for inside your diaper bag while leaving the house. These can be turned inside out and washed along with the diapers. Also, consider a toilet bidet or otherwise known as a diaper sprayer to easily spray stool off of the diapers into the toilet before putting them into the wet bag to wait for wash day. Exclusively breastfed or formula fed diapers can go straight into the wash (stool removal beforehand is unnecessary at this time because it is water-soluble), but once baby is eating anything in addition to/or instead of, you have to remove the stool first before tossing the diapers into the washing machine.Something to note, new diapers and liners need to be washed 2 or 3 times before their first used on baby to get them absorbing their best. You’ll likely notice absorbency issues if you skip this step.On the Lapetiteourse.ca website, these diapers sell for $18.50 EACH. Although I agree that the quality, durability, design, cuteness-factor and number of quality inserts that comes with each diaper is well worth that price, I myself could not afford an entire appropriate-sized diaper stash at that price. As I am writing this review, amazon is selling this 10 diaper lot for $150 meaning they are $15 CAD each. That is an excellent price, but if you watch, they do drop even more on flash sales. On the lapetiteourse.ca website, I have seen clearance diapers go down to around $12 CAD each with coupon codes or holiday specials, but you must also spend at least $80 (on their website) to receive free shipping. In my opinion, for the quality of this diaper and as well as receiving two bamboo inserts with each, you will NOT find a better price for better quality diapers than these, even at their full price. This is not to say that there are not other decent quality, relatively long-lasting and yet cheaper diapers on the market. There are. I own a few different brands and after comparing them all you can see the difference and the lapetiteourse ones are noticeaby different and special.One final note, there is a plethora of people sharing their knowledge and experience of cloth diapering on YouTube. Also, these diapers are adorable, so there’s that too. ❤️🥹

Great Double Gusset, Potential for Rashes
The double gusset has been remarkable when dealing with poops. They’re comfortable, and fit really well on a thinner baby.I found a bit of an issue with the insert size. This is an issue with many one size diapers, but due to the front slit, it creates an issue where the insert sticks out the front if the diaper isn’t fully extended. If the baby is small enough you can just fold the insert over, but my baby is at a stage where folding isn’t viable. This is a bit of an issue for me because the reason I buy pockets is to avoid the wet inserts touching the baby’s skin. I was able to solve the problem using an insert I had from another company that made shorter inserts for this exact reason.I wish they had a few more solid colours, but that’s just me.Overall my favourite diaper so far. If I needed more diapers, I would probably choose these despite the higher cost.
