We really like it!
So fun! Sounds good with lots of different instrument options. Our only critique is that it would be nice if all the instruments allowed for 2 buttons to be pushed at the same time. My baby is 3 months so hes too young to play ig himself, but enjoys me playing it for him. My chihuahua also finds the meow option very interesting.

I really like Leapfrog toys because they are fun and usually involve a few learning opportunities in their toys as well. This Jazzy Saxophone toy actually impressed me more than some of the other toys that I’ve purchased from Leapfrog in the past!My first impression was a bit of surprise because this saxophone toy has more of a masculine voice which I actually REALLY liked! Most of the Leapfrog toys that we own in our home has a very enthusiastic child-like voice which is the Leapfrog standard voice, so to hear a new masculine voice with the saxophone makes it a bit more special than the other toys and I think that it might also help make this toy appealing to children who might not always want to hear child-like voices on their toys! There were also a few other great features of this toy:- Masculine voice (instead of the standard child-like voice from Leapfrog toys)- 8 keys which follow the pattern of a major scale- ability to play 2 different keys/tones as the same time!!!- 6 different types of sounds (sax, violin, accordion, clarinet, cat, drum)- plays songs or can be “freestyle”- teaches numbers and/or colours- comes with a couple of cards to learn songs- lights up with colours coordinating with the coloured keys- can blow into the mouthpiece for silly soundsIn my opinion, this is one of the better Leapfrog toys my kids have played with and as a parent who has some musical background, I can’t wait to teach my little one a couple of more fun little songs on this little saxophone toy! I would say the only thing that I wished they could’ve done is made the “pads” on the side (the coloured little circles) as interactive buttons as well. They look like they might be, but unfortunately they are just colored circles.Overall, a really AWESOME toy. As a parent who plays a musical instrument, I would say this is a MUST HAVE for your little one. It is so much fun and can be used to teach simple little songs and can be an introductory instrument for your toddler!
Great education toy for any music loving kid
We’re huge fans of LeapFrog toys! They keep kiddos interested, and are educational as well.This saxophone has music mode which plays songs, says the colours, or you can toggle through the various instruments/sounds which work when you depress the numbered buttons. My kids are obsessed with the cat noises….me, not as much!! It does have 2 volume levels, though I wish the quieter one was just a little quieter yet.If you’re worried about kids sharing the mouthpiece, thankfully it comes with a removable/washable piece!!It is bright, colourful, and loads of fun for kids. Small enough that it can be toted around, or fit in a drawer/toy storage bin when not in use.The best part about LeapFrog toys is that they’re very rugged. They don’t break/get damaged easily despite being dropped, dragged around, or played with roughly, which is always a bonus.Overall, very cute little toy. Parents may get a little bit tired of the noise, but kids will have a blast!

My family has a musical background. I enjoy playing the guitar and am eager for my son to have exposure to musical instruments. I enjoy how the toy can create a variety of sounds including cello, drums, saxophone, and accordion. It provides the child with the opportunity to comprehend these various instruments. My favorite thing is the sounds the cat makes; it’s my son’s favorite too! I wholeheartedly endorse this product.
I am returning this unfortunately. May try to order again, not sure though. If the mouthpiece worked, I would have loved it for my grandchildren!
