When I received the package I was surprised at how small the package (contained only 77 Lego pieces) was for $55.00.I sent it back and ordered another larger Lego set for less money.
After I bought my 5 year old son’s first Lego Hero Factory for him and I saw how easy it was for him to put together we’ve continued to add to his Lego collection. He wanted to start getting the “regular” Legos from Star Wars and the Lego Dino. I worried about the little pieces, but he’s done a really good job with them. I’ve now bought them to have on hand for rewards, birthday presents, for friends, etc. He can make them himself and has had fun altering them with each other’s parts. They are very rewarding educational toys. Some Lego kits are very costly, but these prices are very reasonable for something so with so many benefits.
If you’re trying to bolster your forces but can only afford 1 set, go for this one. A lot of the other troop sets feature only imperial or rebel soldiers. This one contains both. As you can see from the cover, you get a scout trooper, a normal stormtrooper, and two rebels decked out in Endor gear.It’s an older model, so they’re going to charge you a lot for it, but search old hobby shops, you might get lucky and snag one for slightly cheaper. It’s a fun thing to hunt for.Incidentally, LEGO’s tend to keep their value. As long as they’re in decent condition, you could probably get most of your investment back after your kid’s had a few years of fun out of ’em.
My 4 yo has been building 7-8 yo sets so this wasn’t hard for him. He loves star wars Lego, it is his favorite. Apparently I get to play the rebels while he plays the dark side. This set allows for building a reasonable size battle scene once you buy 5+ sets. I wish they would sell a mini figure only set though to make it less costly to build your army.
This Lego set is well priced and is fun for gifting or as a collectible. The figures are nicely detailed and each come with their own accessories. The speeder bike and the Endor tree environment are easy to put together with perfectly illustrated step by step guide. If you’re looking for some Star Wars fun to add to your Lego collection this is a great buy.
