Nice toy BUT…
Let’s start with the good: – It feels sturdy – It looks good (the dinosaurs are cute) – It’s a fun way to help your child develop fine motor skillsSo why did I take away two stars? Because the “buttons” are WAY to hard to activate. It’s due to the fact that the “springs” used to reveal the dinosaurs are too stiff: it makes it hard to activate, especially for young children like my daughter who do not have enormous strength. There is no way she can activate the cute little dinosaurs on her own. She is also unable to close them once they are open because, once again, the “springs” are too stiff.We have a learning station that has a similar “pop-up” animal and it is MUCH easier to open and close : my daughter can do it by herself.If your child is a bit older or has impressive strength, then I would recommend this toy (although I wouldn’t expect older children to find much interest in this type of toy, at least not for very long). If not, you might want to look at alternatives.If they could only fix that “way too stiff spring” issue, I would give this toy 5 stars.
