Midway wallplates can be mounted onto larger-volume outlet boxes and/or used to hide wall irregularities

What’s to say? It’s a wall plate.
Actually, there are a few things to say, if you’re into this sort of thing! That’s the Leviton on the top – notice how it’s a bit wider than the conventional plate. This larger footprint helps cover up some of the rough-shod stuff that shows up around older outlets (paint lines, fading, etc.). Also, the plastic isn’t brittle – it’s flexible, which helps it conform to the wall better. And, you’re less likely to crack the seat at the mounting screw if you happen to overtighten. So, yes, it’s a simple wall plate, but I like these a lot. Price is fair. Good product.

Perfect match for the ones in my apartment aside from being a little bigger. The flexibility is nice and I’m sure they’ll last longer for the next tenant than the brittle ones they replaced. Easy install. Just wish it was easier to match tone but that’s on me.
