Best swaddle you can buy and better than ergo pouch
My newborn prefers sleeping with arms up and always breaks out of his muslin swaddle and wakes himself on accident. I really wanted this to be the solution and tried it for a few nights but the stripey seam around the suit touches his cheek and he continuously wakes up due to his rooting reflex.
Iâm a FTM and my baby would not sleep in his crib for longer than 30 mins at a time. I did my research and came across swaddling and was drawn to this one. Not only does he sleep better and for 2/4 hours in his crib now but Iâm able to change him and heâll stay asleep(courtesy of the double zip). He also canât wiggle out of this one and stays put, without having to wrap him in so tight he canât move like others would require (heâs a wiggler). He also naturally likes to have his arms up when he sleeps which this swaddle allows. I would recommend having 2 as itâs recommended to wash after each use, we use one at night and the other during the day while the other is in the wash. Material feels nice and of good quality and the material is stretchy to allow growth within the weight ranges. Will definitely be sizing up once he outgrows his current ones. It is quite expensive but worth it for us, canât put a price on sleep as a mum lol
The Love To Dream Swaddle UP helped our son settle into a better sleep routine when he was younger. It was well-made, easy to use, and offered him the freedom to move his arms without breaking out of the wrap. For anyone with a baby who sleeps best with arms up, itâs a fantastic choiceâjust be prepared to switch to another option as they grow or as the seasons change.
This swaddle is so comfortable, our daughter loves it. She is such a loud sleeper and startles often, but this allows her to move a little and keep her arms up (her preferred sleeping position) without waking up. We also have noticed itâs almost safer for her and wakes her up less compared to the traditional straight-jacket swaddles which only frustrate her and wake her up. Overall these are great, the only thing I have noticed is that the material, while it is soft, breathable and comfortable is on the thinner side. This doesnât bother our daughter any as it still keeps her warm and comfortable in our home, but every baby is different so just be weary of room temperatures at night. Otherwise this is a great buy and I suggest buying multiple for any new parents in the market for those sneaky middle of the night diaper blow-outs – youâre going to want to have backups!
