It was so much fun to construct with my 5 year old daughter! She sleeps with it every night now ð
I bought these for our preschooler who loves animals and plants. I read the steps to her and we built it together. She is looking forward to making the next two as well. This brand has several other creature projects to make. We’re excited.
These turned out cute and were fun to do with my seven year old. The materials are good quality and instructions fairly easy to follow along. It was a little tricky putting some of the pieces together ensuring you donât accidentally bend them getting them into the slots and the butterflies donât really balance on the included stands very easily. But it was still a fun, shorter activity to do together.
I love assembling the 3D wooden models that seem to be everywhere nowadays, so I thought I’d pick up a set of these butterflies. These were a great activity to do with pre-teens and I suspect with younger, crafty kids.This set includes three different breeds of butterflies, each with roughly 24 pieces and instructions. Each one takes 10-15 minutes to assemble. The pieces are printed thick cardstock… no wood here. Each butterfly comes with a “stand,” which is just another think piece of cardstock. Unfortunately, this is where I deduct a star: you balance the butterfly on the stand, and it’s nearly impossible to do. Once you find a good spot, however, these things look pretty neat.
This is a great gift for a child that is interested in science.The colors are vibrant and inviting to get a child interested in a 3D paper puzzle by putting the se butterflies together. I like the idea that this is a STEM project and Eco-Friendly. A bit expensive for a one time puzzle but at the same time if it opens your childâs mind for science it is worth it.
These kits are nothing short of fantastic! Vibrant, lively colors, clear instructions – whether you want to work on this with your child or let them figure it out on their own it works so well! Super good thinking behind the design of this and very good execution! Wish there were more stars to give!
