These scissors are perfect to learn how to use scissors. They actually cut quite well. Yet are not sharp and thus safe to use.
Affordable, work great
These are great for my kiddo who just turned two and has been begging for scissors. Heâs learning really quickly. I think the fact that they need to be held at the right angle to cut will ensure he learns how to properly use them. The paper will fold or sit between the blades flat if the scissors arenât held correctly. Great size and weight for him to learn as well as the affordable price! 10/10 recommend these!
Good to introduce the concept of scissors to young learners
This was our first Maped scissors, and was loved by my little one. It has a blunt tip and doesn’t have any metal blades. Doesn’t cut too well if it’s on an angle though, which tends to happen for kids. Finger holes are small but also very wide, so not very comfortable for adults or older children. My little one had to use two hands to open them after each snip. For basic safety scissors to introduce scissors, it does the job but not for longer use.
Great for little hands
These scissors are great for my 2.5 year old. She can hold them well. They cut paper but not much else.
Safe
Iâve used them twice and theyâre hard to use unless the paper is stiff. Best for construction paper and straight lines opposed to curves.
Great for learning toddlers
I was skeptical to purchase these scissors but I’m glad I did. My toddler is successful at cutting paper with assistance and I’m not nervous that he’s going to cut himself or something else. Good quality!
