Love!
I just got this yesterday and haven’t cooked anything from it but I know my kids will love the food in it. So many of the books of this genre are rather guilt inducing, with perfectly coifed moms in fancy houses serving kids kale that was grown by organic farmers who grow the kale while simultaneously doing yoga and playing the harp in the field under a full super moon. This is good, healthy but not obsessively, trendily healthy, tasty food for normal, busy moms like me.
Easy, delicious dinners in 30 min
I have been following Amy on Instagram for awhile and have tried many recipes. They are easy, delicious and most importantly, my super picky toddler will actually take a bite. I love that the meals take around 30 min or less to make. The book is beautifully laid out and I love the categories for easy referencing back to favorite recipes. Congratulations Amy on a wonderful book! We will be using this beyond toddler years!
Looking forward to cooking dinner again!
This is a beautiful cookbook. The pictures make you want to try every recipe! Our family made the first recipe in the book this week and our 11 month old had second servings!! Excited to try more and to have renewed enthusiasm about dinner time. Thank you!!
Great for those nights you donât know what to make
I am always looking for new recipes and dinner time is the one meal that we eat as a family so itâs important to me to try new meals and find out whatâs great for me husband and 2 year old. There are so many great recipes in this book! We have tried and love most of them! Most of the time the ingredients you need you already have too so thatâs a bonus!Defiantly recommend!
Amazing Cookbook!
I use this cookbook almost daily! Great easy to follow recipes that the kiddos do actually eat. Love that it includes basics too, like rice, roasted veggies etc.
A hit for the whole family
The pictures are fantastic, the descriptions and recipes are easy to follow, and the substitutions section is excellent for families with dietary restrictions. I can’t wait to make all the recipes!
Well writt3n
Making meals fir a three year old
I certainly did not need another cookbook, but wait, yes I actually did. I was swamped with bookmarked recipes on my phone and a collection of random family hits across a million books. I bought this because I like the author and her approach to feeding the family, but it far exceeded expectations. The recipes and ideas seemed almost too simple at first glance, but almost everything weâve made has been an instant hit. The ingredients are easy to find and the steps are simple to follow and even modify, if necessary. The sausage broccoli sheet pan meal and spinach quesadillas already make weekly appearances for us and the skillet meals are so easy and delicious. Even the easy suggestions for making sides more appealing and how to navigate a stress-free dinner table are so helpful. Itâs a beautifully finished book and wonderful to have it in print, also – it stays in my kitchen, already has food stains on the pages and notes in the margins. Thank you for creating this!
I have three opinionated eaters, they are funny about textures and taste etc but they are all excited to cook the recipes in the book. I think they love the idea of having many options to choose from, with something each of them like. I am looking forward to cooking with them and hoping they will actually eat. I am happy that the book has them excited.
I follow the author on Instagram and find a lot of her recipes really useful (and popular with the kids!), so was excited to try her book. We’ve tried a couple of different meals and so far the kids have loved every one. And, true to her word, they are all ready very quickly – taking a lot of stress out of the evening rush before bedtime.A few points to note -1. There are a few ingredients or recommended shortcuts that are common in America, but will need substituting in the UK (Not a dealbreaker, just one to be aware of) so may add a bit of time to the recipes.2. There are a lot of fish-based recipes (at least, as a non-fish eating family, we thought it was a lot) – but the author makes some great suggestions for substitutions and things throughout the book. Now I’m just hoping that Amy does a followup book with all her baking-type recipes for snacks (muffins, cereal bars, etc) – because those are also great!
I follow the author on Instagram and love the free recipes on there so grabbed the book. I find everything quick and easy as well as minimal ingredients so each recipe isnât expensive to make and takes the pressure of dinner and lunchbox snacks
The recipes have very short ingredient lists and are not very time consuming in prep or cook time. Great for weeknight family meals. Everything Iâve tried so far has been great!
