Reviews

  1. Very comfortable, needed a second set
I am surprised at how much I enjoy these cups. Saved my pumping/breastfeeding journey. I bought the freestyle pump seperately and enjoyed so much I bought a second set to help with washings.

  2. Love it!
It works on my old model with the connector. Can cuddle and feed by bottle to my baby while pumping.

  3. Do not buy, waste of money!
bought 2 in error, unable to return one of the boxes even though it’s sealed brand new box.Terrible product, do not waste your money! It’s just not effective in pumping, in comparison to the original previous type of breast attachment for the medela pump (I have freestyle)At this point in time with a 1 week old, I pump at least 150ml (both breasts) per session. The new egg looking type anttachment only got 40ml (combined both breasts) after 15 minutes. In the picture, I pumped with the original type attachment and the result speaks for itself, no less than 50ml per breast.Medela will likely lose its customers and a lot of profit with this new type of attachment. It’s ineffective, complete waste of money! Original attachment type is much more efficient and effective.I regret not getting another set of the original type, really regretting having wasted so much money on this new type of attachment. Looks attractive to be able to use it with any bra, looks more discreet but just doesn’t work.

  4. Glad these exist!
I already had the freestyle flex when this pump came out. I wanted to purchase the cups b/c buying the pump set would’ve been too costly and unnecessary. I waited for months for it to be available and I luckily bought mine during prime day!!The cups are super light and fit in my nursing bras nicely. I barely notice them while I’m pumping and I feel so much freedom! Even with my freestyle pump I felt I had to be stationary because the bottles would stick out and flop around. The cups are flush to my skin and are very comfortable to wear. It came with size 24 and 21 flanges. I switched to the size 21 after a day because I found the 24s kept a pool of milk near the opening. When I removed the cups some milk would come out from the flange, but I believe it’s because the 24s were too big for me.I only rated it 4 stars because opening and closing the parts are a bit difficult. I already spilled some milk because I didn’t close it properly. The clasps are very tight (of course) so i have to press the other end of the cup against the table while i press the area near the clasp in order to open it for washing. I use my pump multiple times a day so this becomes pretty tedious. Also, there aren’t any replacement membranes, o-rings or tube extensions sold separately. So if the membranes were to loosen, or somehow get damaged you’d have to buy a whole new set just to get the membranes.Because I was able to get it during prime day, I got a very good deal and 2 days shipping. I got my package on time and if there’s another deal I would buy another pair! Overall a great purchase with minor set-backs.

  5. Portable Cups
I purchased these as an alternative to my collection cups on my medela freestyle flex. It’s great because it fits within any bra and it’s tougher to spill than older models.

  6. Item didn’t work for me, great customer service tho
Item didn’t work out for me. I have the same machine but wanted to make my life easier so i ordered the hand free cupsAfter 15 mins pumping no milk at all…So I wanted to return but that option wasn’t availableI messaged them and got my money back really fastGreat customer service but I don’t recommend this product

  7. Meh
Are they hands free?Kind of. The cups are hands free but you still have all the tubing to manage so I wouldn’t say they’re totally hands free.Do they work okay? I guess soAre they better than having bottles hanging off your chest?I’d say so, however the hole at the top to pour milk is quite big so if you bend they will spill. They’re shaped weird so they move around a bit if you have small boobs. Are they good quality? Absolutely not!For the price of $100 I’d expect the cups to not be made of flimsy plastic that bends! Are they easy to assemble?Heck no!The cups are difficult to assemble and require lots of fiddling to get them together. If you don’t have the bottom piece quite clicked in all the way they spill everywhere! They are also difficult to open for cleaning. The extension tubing is also finicky to attach. Is the suction good? It’s alright. By adding connectors to the usual pump they decrease the suction so you have to pump at least 10 minutes longer to fully empty. Are they comfortable? Not really.Hard plastic pressed against my skin is not my favourite! I much prefer other wearable pumps silicone flanges. Are they easy to wash?Mm they’re ok.They only have 3 pieces to wash which is nice however washing inside the flange can be tricky.Overall I recommend a truly hands free wearable pump like mom cozy over Medela. Medela is over priced and the quality isn’t great. However if you like your Medela pump and don’t want bottles hanging off your chest and have $100 laying around these are alright and you could try them.ConsWay overpriced!Expensive replacement partsHard plastic feels cheap and flimsySuction not as good as regular pumpDifficult to assembleTubing still needs to be managedProsNo bottles on chest you can actually hold your baby while pumpingThat’s really the only pro

  8. Comfortable and easy to wear!
Finally took the plunge on buying this as an alternative to the original pumping system that came with the breast feeding pump I’m using. I wish I would have done so sooner. I struggled with making enough milk and so pumping is key to help me increase my production. That said the inconvenience if the cumbersome traditional system made it harder for me to be as consistent as I needed to be. Trying this 4 months into breastfeeding and after just one use I’m already so glad I got it. It stays on nipple better than traditional system I find. Because your bra holds it in place it feels more stable to move around. Would definitely recommend.

  9. I exclusively breastfeed my baby, but I’m an over-supplier so I need to pump at least 1 or 2 times a day on top of nursing. I also have a toddler and I’m about to go back to work from maternity leave. I knew I needed a solution to easily pump in the car to save some precious time (if you have 2 under 2, you know every moment counts lol!)I had tried pumping with my hands free bra and using the regular collection bottles, and if you’ve tried that you also know it’s not fun. You can do it, but it’s a pain and there’s no way to be discreet. I don’t exactly want to pull up to daycare drop off half dressed. 😂I’ve used Momcozy pumps before and still had some from my first breastfeeding journey, but to my dismay the replacement parts for the one I had were no longer available. It was only 2 years since I bought the pump so I was pretty shocked they discontinued that quickly….I had considered trying to order the cups for Elvie Stride and see if they would be compatible with my Motif or SpeCtra pumps, but they are $$$ and a ton of pieces to clean. Then I came across these! I was nervous they wouldn’t work, but from what I can tell you can likely hook them up to any pump. You just plug the tubing you already have into the Medela adapters, and you’re good to go! I’ve used these with my Motif Duo & Motif Luna with no issues. I pumped 10oz with the Luna on my commute today, with no leaks.Pros:• Seem to be compatible with any pump.• Holds a good volume, I had 6oz in one cup and not even close to overflowing.• Only 3 pieces to clean.• Can use with a regular stretchy/roomy bra, you don’t need a special hand free pumping bra.• From a reputable and consistent brand, so replacement parts should be easy to purchase (as long as they don’t get discontinued)• Easy to pour milk from• Flat bottom so you can set cups on the counter without spilling• I’m sensitive to EMF, and this is a way to have a hands free pumping experience without Bluetooth since you can connect to whatever pump body you prefer (Most of the wearables on the market now connect to an app and have to use Bluetooth)Cons:• They aren’t small — you will have Dolly Parton boobs while wearing. Not a collection cup you could wear with nobody noticing.• There are a couple spots where small amounts of milk can get stuck – but I’ve had this problem with any wearable I’ve tried.• The plastic parts can be hard to detach for cleaning, I keep my nails short but if you have long nails I think it might be a challenge to get them open.• Only 24mm and 21mm flange sizes – most moms are smaller. I had to order 18mm adapters from Maymom but they were affordable and work perfectly with these cups.I’m a huge fan of these, I’m thankful for Medela making these collection cups as an option. I hope to see other pump manufacturers follow suit, as this is a way more affordable option than buying a whole new pump. 🙂

  13. The handsfree cups make pumping so much more convenient. I can pump while holding my baby which means it’s less stressful and I’m in less of a rush. This also means I can collect more. I do have to stay near a power point but this doesn’t bother me. I take it as an opportunity to sit still!
