Very solidly built. Great fun to use. The two sided boards and storage box are easy for little ones handle. All the pieces are solid wood. The bright colours and large shapes are perfect for little hands.

We got this after seeing it in action at a drop-in program. Kids as young as 14m were very much into the puzzles, but so were the 3 year olds. Pictures are bold, uncomplicated, and the pieces are sturdy and easy to manipulate.

Big , double sided , thick wood good quality. Perfect for learning shapes , some easy to some semi difficult . Ask questions like what shapes does it require , colours , what picture is it. Hoping my son will connect shapes with objects like a dogs head is circle , thereâs a lot more to it then just putting the shapes.

I ordered this for my 18 month old and he loves it! Keeps him busy for quite a while. Melissa and Doug make good quality products and we have lots of them. Their prices are a bit high in my opinion but if you can purchase on sale like I did with this item ($11.99) you can’t go wrong. My only qualms with them would be that the paint tends to chip away easier than it should. Nothing major but they tend too look old and worn before their time. Also would be nice if the set came with a lid. Again, not a major issue. I would definitely recommend this product!

Your child will use spatial awareness to find the correct block placement and will problem solve how to fit the block into the spaces using hand-eye coordination.For parents/caregivers who are wanting to expand their child’s receptive and expressive language skills here are some ways to play with this toy with the child in your life.- Offer your child choices of different pattern pictures to complete, “Do you want to complete the butterfly or fish?” Bring the topping choices close your face, so your child can see how your mouth creates the sounds. This activity will help build vocabulary for the names of the pictures and encourage your child to use words or gestures to make a choice.- Give your child 1 or 2 step directions of finding specific pieces to complete the pictures. Example directions, “Find the purple circle.” or “Put in the triangle and then find the oval.”- Spread out the blocks/puzzle boards and ask your child, “Where’s is yellow?” or “Whereâs the circle?” This activity will help build receptive language vocabulary.Happy Playing!!!
Very good quality toy. Good to practice shapes and colours. Each wooden board has 2 designs, so 10 in total. Unfortunately this is not my toddler go to toy. He likes other jigsaws better. Probably just his preference?
