Reviews

  1. Great value, easy to work for kids small hands
Easy to use, great looking, good value

  2. Perfect for young kid
My almost 3 year old daughter loves this flashlight. We make forts and she hangs out in them and looks around with her flashlight. Very easy on and off button

  3. 7/10
Good product but the light is not strong and the plastic is cheap

  4. Not a safe design for a toddler
My toddler is obsessed with flashlights and I was looking for one that would be safe for her to play with. The images on this listing don’t show where the batteries go but another review of this flashlight showed an image where the flashlight’s batteries were in a compartment that needed a screwdriver to open – that was what gave me the reassurance to order. But the model I received is different and you simply screw off the top by hand to reach the battery compartment. NOT safe for a small child to handle!

  5. Fantastic product – button seems fine to me…
Since this flashlight had so many negative reviews that almost convinced me not to buy it, I wanted to extol it’s virtues after using it for over a month. First off, the negative reviews all revolve around the on/off button, which seems fine to me – I mean it’s a cheap plastic button on a cheap plastic flashlight, but it works fine. It doesn’t seem like it is at any risk of breaking unless it is abused, though other people have said it does break, so your mileage may vary. I may have had better luck because my 3yo child never bothers to turn it off (more on that later). That brings us to the main point, which is the light itself. First off, it is a very dim LED bulb which is perfect for a child to use at night. Think about the brightness of the old orange-hued flashlights you used as a kid, and you’ll be in the right ballpark here (though this LED is definitely on the bluer side of the color spectrum). This is in direct contrast to every other ‘tactical’ flashlight that you’ll find on Amazon, which would be for too bright for night reading – really I took a chance on this Melissa & Doug item because it was the only reasonable option. What’s amazing is that because it’s such a weak LED, it uses virtually no power. My child never turns it off, so it’s probably shines at least 12h/day for the last 1-2 months, and I have never had to change the batteries. As such, I have no clue how often they need to be changed, but the battery life appears to be several hundred hours on a single charge. My opinion is that Melissa & Doug hit it out of the park once again. If the button breaks after 6 months and I have to buy another one for $10… I would be happy to.

  6. Daughter loves it
Great starter flashlight for kiddos. Good gift

  7. Cute but not completely practical for use as an actual flashlight
My daughter will love this, but the LED light isn’t very strong.. so it’s more just for fun. Love the look. Not sure about the twist off lamp to access batteries – this is for a child so I don’t want her to figure out she can take the batteries out on her own. For the price its fine.. Super cute!

  8. Super cute flashlights
These are really cute flashlights that are much more durable than other ones we’ve used. The kids have dropped them on the hardwood floor and they still look new. Super easy for a child to operate and the design is really nice.

  9. Grand girls loved the torches. The beam is not as strong as the bumblebee torch that they replaced but a great product.

  10. Nice product but switch on/off button very loose

  11. A mi nieta le encantó

  12. Increíble. Muy buena calidad. Muy bonita.
